A friend of mine had a Corrado VR6 with lots of work done to it. It was a sweet car, but was often in the shop. When it was in the shop, he sometimes had trouble finding parts and it was usually expensive.

I entertained getting a Corrado awhile ago, but low mileage examples are pretty expensive, and I really wanted a new car I didn't have to mess with (maintenance wise).

Also, check out the corrado forum at http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeroforum?id=8

Owned a G60 for a few years. Looked great inside and out, except that it looked faster than it was. Does that make any sense? Get the SLC with its significantly more potent VR6. Repairs and maintenance shouldn't kill you because you don't have to hit the dealer.
By the way, I think it's a VW Fox chasis. Can anyone confirm?
