Get the EVO.

...try your best not to be stupid and end your life by wrapping your EVO around a phone pole.

Hah true, ehhh I'm not feelin love for the evo anymore, Im thinking bout keepin the tl, and buy my uncles s14 with a sr20 det swap, maybe sell the sr20 in the future and put in an ls1? Who knows lol, but he's selling his for only 5 grand with a clean record and like 120k to the body and 25k to the engine... So I'm most likely gnna pick that up since he picked himself up a gs450h (kids but still fun lol)

i would go WRX over EVO in that category, but coming from me, who was a 2nd gen TL owner that sold it, I still regret selling it.

Yea and a zenki s14 for 5 grand with a sr20det swap, the engine is worth more than 5 grand... I'm definitely not letting this pass up... I getta save money too, so in pretty much set on my car, but I was lookin at this s2000 for 12gs, but I probably won't roll with that even though I loveeee s2000s, I love s14s as much though... Hopefully I get to learn how to ride sideways haha

is this one of those "all talk" thread??

sr20 that ls1 that... blah blah.

Why would you need two cars? This thread started off well, and gone retarded.

I would never EVER buy a used Evo or STi. The only reason to buy the car is to beat the bag out of it, that's why the leases only saved you 40-50 bucks over buying it.

Go Dodge Grand Caravan. Plenty of shag room and the over 35 crowd will love you.

I'd pick the Evo just because of its performance and how easily hp can be gained when modded.

Know that this is an Acura forum, the votes might be piling in on the TL. I seriously have no clue what to choose from since i love both cars... I might lean onto the TL side because i really dont wanna leave this forum since its so great and the community is great.
I would buy an SI and invest the difference in a ROTH IRA. Your parents will love you for costing them less in insurance, and the women will jump on your junk for having $10K in the bank.

TL=reliability
EVO=wow statement (those cars can be expensive to maintain though when the warranty's up)

^^ putting LS1 motor is impressive, but doesn't belong in Japanese cars... specially in 240sx.

Im sorry, I dont know any girl that would choose a guy cuz he has an EVO.... Quite the contrary, most hot chics date the guy with the LUXURY CAR not a rice rocket. Not that the TL is a LUXURY CAR, but I bet any girl would rather be sitting in leather than cloth/tweed. I think he'll attract more BOY RACERS than chics with the EVO. Hes guna have new friends bummin rides.

But thats besides the point... At that age I would choose the EVO too. Get it out of your system, then move on.

fucking pointless post

Just joined and catching things late here, but the original question of the thread was 08TL v 08 EvoMR.

Then the OP said he's gonna get a 240SX for 5 grand and swap out the engine.

Then guys at random are throwing down recommendations of used Accords and Vishnu BMWs.

Seems like the whole thread is f*cking pointless.

^^ yup, pointless thread.

Far as my understand, Op clearly doesn't have the fund enough to buy Evo nor TL-S... How is it going to afford tuned 335i??

Op is trying to settle for 5k car rather than 30k+ car here.

Well its because the offer came up on the 240sx, at first i was looking at those two cars cause ive always liked em and i knew someone selling an MR for the price of tl, so i was really interested. sure it had some imperfections here and there but still a nice car. then since this new deal about the 240sx came up, im mostly down with this decision.

i would definately go with the TL im 18 years old love the race scence and feel and the TL gives me that and more with the great luxury and eye turning looks! if you ask me go with the TL type S or not its a great car. mine is a 99 non type S souped up, sterio system performance parts custom rims the works, does the trick and more for a young teen and the insurance is not ridiculous!

hope i helped man! goodluck with school
