they arent evo’s. I had that issue myself when I was shopping for wheels. The tarox bbk can fit oem wheels so that sold me. If they can fit oem they can fit anything.

I love how big and how much the StopTech Trophy kit fills the wheels though so I don't know if I could part with them.

I’m sure you’ll be able to find a nice aggressive set with that kit.

So this past weekend I went on the annual trip to Tail of the Dragon with a group of car buddies that I have gone on for the last 5 years. This one obviously being with the NSX for the first time was by far the most enjoyable one ever. The car is just so raw yet planted machine I have ever driven there or really anything I have driven period. I always start this trip with a stop in Asheville to sample a great brewery or two and pick up some good beverages to have at the cabin for the weekend.

Stopped at New Belgium first then headed to Burial which is by far one of the best in Asheville.

Then proceeded on to meet up with the rest of the group for some lunch. I was the second to arrive. Friend from Raleigh with a 2016 GT3 was the first.

After lunch, we headed to the cabin to drop off our stuff and then continued onto the Dragon. We skipped dragon with how wet it was and hit up hellbender. Personally, that is my favorite road of the entire area.

Morning view from the back of the cabin.

Cold morning start of NSX and GT3

Headed up to the Dragon to check out the store but then hit up hellbender again and then off down a drive to Franklin.

Stopped at a waterfall

It had been a wet day and the cars had gotten dirty so stopped at the car wash.

All cleaned up

My front drivers had been rubbing on the fender that day. Realized the drivers side was a little more than 1/4in lower than passenger side so raised it up to be even. Yes I did car work with a scissor jack.

Everyone parked in the driveway while I make the adjustments.

Headed out to dinner that night to probably the best place up there to eat, Tapco Lodge.

Some iced coffee on a nice cold mountain morning

Morning fog on the water

Some awesome Honda's parked under the car park

This day we headed up the Skyway

On one of the scenic stops I ran into a gentleman that had a 1991 Acura NSX. He is the original owner and the car has 113k miles on it. He bought it without ever driving it since back then they would not let you even test drive them. He put the seat covers on the car right when he got it to protect the cream interior.

One heck of a view from the this particular overlook

The gang for today. The GT3 had to headout in the morning so we were down to three.

That afternoon the rest of the group headed out but I was staying the last night still. We had not hit the Dragon yet cause it is never a great idea to do it on Saturday or Sunday cause it is just so busy and backed up. We normally do it on Friday but this year it was raining when we arrived. So I waited till just before the sunset to hit it when most people had left for the weekend. It was a blast in the NSX. Some shots after I completed the run.

On the way back through I stopped at the one scenic outlook at the high point overlooking the damn.

Was able to grab a great sunset picture.

Headed back to Tapco Lodge for another dinner and got my own private parking spot.

The NSX trunk gets tight with gear for two, some essential tools, detailing gear, camera, drone, and a case of beer.

Stopped for some lunch on the way back through Asheville at a new place called the Foggy Mountain Brew Pub. The food was excellent for anyone passing through the area.

When I got home I had put on almost 800 miles for the weeknd and was 2 miles short of putting 1200 miles in the first 2.5 weeks of ownership.

Jason, your car looks like shit. Like complete and utter shit. I will let you give it to me so that you can save yourself the embarrassment of having to drive that POS around. I'll even give you my 11 year old son. Win-win in my book. You can play LEGO bricks with him.

I will pass. I am able to enjoy this thing because I don't have one of those right now. I will sell it to you for what it is insured for and take the kid off your hands then if you still pay his bills. Sounds like a win-win right?

Awesome shots, that weekend looked like a blast. It's strange how even an S2k and GT3 make the NSX look so low and small lol. I love that.

I'm headed to Asheville this weekend too - are there any other places you'd suggest I stop by?

You talking about breweries and places to eat? I can give you a whole bunch of that from up there. I go 2-4 times a year. Any particular types of beer and food you like more than others?

Yeah, I don’t understand it either on a car with that many miles. The whole purpose of picking up a NSX with miles is to drive the piss out of it. We have NSXs on NSX Prime that are well beyond 250k miles.

Some people view the cars as investments and treat them as such...or maybe they have 3 others and don't drive that one much. In all seriousness I do agree with Bob...a car is for travel...not to be a museum piece.
That said, I think I've maybe put 7K on my S2000 in 3 years but that's primarily because I had a kid right after I bought it.

Exterior wise it is a good looking number. I am sure at that mileage it might need a little preventative maintenance and it could use recovered seats but I bet for between 5-7k you could make it almost perfect from a driver's car perspective and have a solid NSX with clean title for sub 50k which is a great deal right now.

Sounda like a plan. I could barely fit everything in the trunk this year.

Thinking of planning a spring one with the Azine crew in addition to the regular group I go with in November. Your welcome to come either time.

I would probably trade like half my cars to get an NSX into the driveway. I traded my TSX earlier this year for the CTR. Sometimes I still question doing that... Never got to install my Euro R interior lol. Jealous of the TE37s too. I only have them on my 4Runner at the moment.

Funny thing was that I was originally shopping for a V wagon back in May 2017, then I bought the house and got the newish 4runner, CTR and IS300 all within a 2 month span around Feb 2018 this year. You have like 2 of the cars I have on my dream car list. Looks great man, used to drool over your TSX build back when I was still in grad school 10 years ago, guess I can drool over the NSX now too.
