Found one from the HSR Facebook page. We needed to reconfirm scaling and toe after hauling the car so were pushing up to pit road to find a level piece of real estate. Photographer caught us getting it set up. My buddy is missing from the pic as he was grabbing more tools/equipment.

So had to change something up already. Using parts I already had around. Had bought a new limited edition J's Racing Works Bell quick release for the TSX a few months back so I had removed my old silver and stainless hub from the car. Also had the Nardi Torino wheel around that I thought didn't look right always with the TSX interior. I wasn't a big fan of the blue hub and steering wheel in the NSX so switched them out and I think it looks much better with the older styling of the NSX interior. The small 300mm Momo wheel I think still will feel better for spirited driving but for regular around town the Nardi just flows so much better. Thankfully since all 3 of the steering wheels I own now have Works Bell quick releases so I can swap them around whenever I want.

BTW, we're doing a cruise with the Caffeine & HP crew up to Lake Lure for lunch this Saturday. Leaving the Weddington area at 9am. You could meet us on I85 or something. I'm bringing the M3
There's a restaurant in Chimney Rock called Medina's that we'll drive to... eat lunch, hang for a bit, then come home

Dust off that beautiful s2k and bring it up already.
I'm actually going to look into the price of getting a large house for a long weekend up there and maybe make it an Acurazine dragon trip (not dragoning). Friday-Monday.

well, with the collective 4 kids and it having to be a kidless trip, some planning would have to be involved and days off of work are a little sparse right now.
but I'm definitely doing to make this trip happen one way or another...I'll probably get better tires before I do too.

Me, too. I wish I lived far enough south that I could go to the Dragon this time of year.....but it's been cold up here in Cleveland for three weeks, raining almost daily for the same, and now it's time to put the NSX away for the winter. Boooooo!

I'll probably get shit for it, but if I were to do that I would spend the whole time wishing she were there too.
With our schedules and exes we actually get a lot of time without kids to do grown up shit like drive to tail of the Draggin.

@neuronbob ... what is a surprising deal? Seriously curious
Speaking of surprises, @synth19 is selling his imeola orange.

There's a guy right now selling a 2002 (ie not pop-up) targa with 73k miles, for $65k. That's really low for a frog-eyes NSX. To put it in perspective, $65k is a currently realistic price for me to ask for my '99 (NA2 pop-up) targa with 79k miles. The mythical $30k NSX, however, is now legend other than extremely high mileage or salvage samples in this market. If I see surprising deals, I'll let you know, they tend to go fast.

NSX nerd trivia: All automatic NSXs are NA1 as they all kept the C30B 3.0 l engine.
@juniorbean just wait for the NSX bubble to pop. Prices are already flat this year as there are a lot of NSXs on the market.

They have a crazy long 2nd gear that is a unique experience. Honda didn't want to go to fixed headlamps, but the then new European pedestrian standards started for the 2002 MY, so we have "frog eyes".

Dang it, I wish I could trailer my bike up to the Dragon this weekend and ride with you guys! Unfortunately I haven't been able to ride her most of the year and the battery is fubar (the chain and sprockets really need changing as well). I took it up there a couple of times in 2016 and it was the best time I've ever had so I'm definitely jealous. Planning on getting a new ride next August and hopefully it'll be something more enjoyable as a Dragon cruiser than my beloved Genny (she's perfect as my daily but not really made for the mountain roads). Really leaning towards a 2016-17 Camaro RS with all the goodies; the 3.6 liter V6 may not be the fire-breathing V8 in the SS but it makes a respectable 335 hp and the current Camaro has a brilliant chassis...

I'm so happy you were able to pick this car up - I've been in love with it since I saw it for the first time in Atlanta, and I'm glad it went to someone that will take proper care of it.
Is it still straight piped?
