i remember reading that the original VW bug was designed by one of the engineers at Porche for Adolf Hitler, dubbed the "People's car". Which may or may not explain the porche wing and wheels.

When I was little, like 4, my mom bought me some toys. A couple of toy miniature VW bugs. One was orange, the other was slime green. Everytime I see a new slime green VW bug, I think of that toy.

I once played the AWD turbo VW bug in Grand Turismo 1. It was bad ass. When I think of the bug, I think of Bumblebee (remember Transformers?) , or The Love Bug. It's a nice little German car. But now that I'm all grown up, I prefer a RUF over VW anyday.

as I mentioned...I call FOB's fobbits...just my term...it gives them more personality

anyways, about your comment CLpower, I dont give a damn if he could smoke me That's his good, not like I care. And as you said, many VW owners do that to their car? I'm sorry but I've never seen one other VW owner with porsche caps on his rims, let alone a porsche spoiler. Btw, how did your boys ride get brought up in this?

The only way I would ever respect that car is if it had the 996 GT2 engine in it......and even then it would be a stretch....

Actually, alot of vw owners do put porsche wheels on their cars like clpower said. Just go to a vw forum and do a search youll see.

I've seen a few wings, rims are pretty common. The center caps are ghey though. My boy atleast has the turbo center caps. You mentioned the porsche center caps and I mentioned that porsche rims are prett common on VW's.

I think the car is ugly too and wouldn't care if it smoked me either :P

ahhhhh....got ya

So you're sayin they toss on the Porsche rims on their Vdubs? Interesting, I've never seen it. Does it look good by any chance?

As for the car, it was driven by a younger asian fellow (as I mentioned he was a FOB) in his late teens, early 20's? He was an ugly mother fucker, and his girlfriend sure didn't help ease the situation at all...I just thought it was funny to see this car pull up with the Porsche wing and everything. If he took that off, raise the car up a little bit, took off the porsche caps, fixed his gas cap, and maybe tinted his windows, things could have POSSIBLY worked out
