Gotcha. It's just that the Maxima is CLEARLY the ugliest thing manufactured by Nissan currently. The M looks SOOO much better on MANY levels.

Those exhaust tips and door handles do pretty much make them identical.

Even though the M35/45 takes styling cues from the Maxima the M still looks 100x better.

^^ In Japan, Infiniti does not exist,all their cars are tagged under Nissan logo for example

M = Fuga
G = Skyline
Q = Cima

Hey guys, I think that the Lexus GS looks more like the Maxima then the GS does... anyone else agree?

I'd take the M35 - preferably M35x - over a Maxima any day

it's so obvious that that car is built atop the Maxima chasis. It looks like a converted maxima, or what the Lexus GS shoulda looked like.

all hail the new LEXIMUS MAXIUMUS!!

most/all cars nowadays use the same platform and simply change some components, body styling, etc.

Well you're a little off on the chassis comparison because the M45 is built on the G35/350Z chassis. The Maxima chassis is built on the Altima chassis which is also FWD vs. the G35 which is RWD.

Not true. I could put a Euro-R emblem on the back of my TSX, doesn't make it a Euro-R though.

One easy way to tell it's an M45 and not an M35 is to look at the ass end. The rear bumper from a side view and rear tail lights give it away from first site.

The M45 has a full bumper that runs underneath the rear quarter panel, while the 35 is cut and has a quarter panel that runs lower. As far as the tail lights, the 35 comes off to the side of the car more, while the 45 is kinda chopped on the side.

That Ings kit is pretty damn nice.

Its probably Carlos Ghosn who did a $9 billion turnaround in 2 years and is considered the one of the most powerful men in automobiledom I don't think they'll fire him anytime soon

I'm thinking it's more like the director of product development. (read: Jack Collins)

haha probably. However, Ghosn will now supposedly run the North American division directly now. I hope to god that he would not have given that Max the green light

I like the new M and think that is a hot car, though I don't like the wheels and as mentioned a couple of times the drop is a little much for me. I find heavy wheels and a extreme drop to be rolling hypocrisy, it just doesn't make sense.
