Fixed.

If they came with the 6MT like all the other 3 series models (other than the abomination that is the GT), I would probably have bought one by now.

Has anyone seen what the base seat material is on the Buick Tourx?

I'm not sure if their wording is that leather seats only come on the Essence or only leather heated seats.

I can't imagine Buick is going to put cloth in a $30,000 car in 2017. I'd be fine with fake leather. Cloth is a deal breaker with three dogs.

I just saw a link to a GM friends and family site that has a configurator for the TourX.

Holy shit it's really cloth. What the fuck, GM?

That's insane.

Hey! How are you! Do you still have the Focus ST?

I was considering getting another one as it appears they've resolved the chronic stalling the '13s had but it's just too small for us and our three dogs.

I'm looking for a wagon but I'm not 100% what to get. I like the Alltrack 6MT but it's a little small too.

My Passat lease ends in February so I'm trying to decide if I get another lease and then look for a 2-yr old TourX Essence CPO after that lease is up.

VW just upped their warranty to 6/72. That is an interesting development.

Not wagon related but ... Parts of me would love a Golf R, especially with a warranty like that.

I ordered an Essence trim last week. From my research the base models have cloth seats but that is all based on internet articles. I did not confirm that with the dealer. Aftermarket leather is about $1k installed if that is the only obstacle.

Did they give you any sense of the cost of an Essence and the packages? Congrats on the order. Can't wait to see pictures. I'd rather have this than a VW I think.

yeah it's a looker. I prefer the clean look of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer but oh well.

CharlieMike - there are some YouTube reviews of the sports tourer. I think CarWow did the best one. Should give you an idea of the interior layout and space of the TourX. The power train is different so that isn't comparable. There are some Australian reviews of the Holden Commodore wagon and they like the 2.0 turbo. Reviews of the vehicle overall very positive but they did say the Holden got it's own suspension tuning. I might need to make friends with someone in Australia to see if I can get them to ship some parts this way.

Doing well, and still have the ST. Still going strong with no problems.

The TourX looks pretty good... what about a lightly used Allroad?

I had thought about that but a CPO Allroad is too much $$.

The TourX is definitely a desirable option to the Allroad but I'm really not thrilled about a big and slow wagon.

With three dogs, the GTI/FoST might be too small.

But what I'm most concerned about, as someone who's played musical cars A LOT in the last decade is that I don't want buy something that I'll dislike after the utility wears off.

I have been thinking about an Alltrack with a JB4 piggyback to get to about 200hp/240tq and with AWD and a 6MT that might actually be okay. I am not yet driving anything.

I think the new Focus comes next fall, so as I get close to giving back the Passat, if nothing jumps at me I might wait to see what happens at NYAS. I've heard 280hp and the FoST being slightly bigger.

My budget is about $30k so the Golf R and cars like that are probably out too.

Building a custom sleeper wagon probably isn't on the menu, but personally I'm very inspired by this CE1+H22A build reposted from Southrnfresh (user Futbol, not sure which forum). I think my next build to replace the too-thirsty UA7 will be along these lines:

Futbol?s Accord Wagon v.2 SOUTHRNFRESH

Or how about a Legacy GT wagon?

My E400 estate offer from dealer is now $5950 off MSRP. A bit more by DEC, and I can pull the trigger Tried to combine it with wife's car order this weekend, hoping to get a 2 car deal..and that is the best they offered

E400 is new for 2017, right? I imagine the closer you get to year-end, the better the deal will get.
In-stock inventory or ordered? Do they base incentives/discounts off of order date or delivery date?

for my wife’s AMG, they honored what they offered off inventory. $8300 off msrp . It’s 120 days out

yes Current E estate is the new body style . I am looking at 18. Personally I don’t care about order vs inventory as my requirement is red exterior and pano roof. I don’t care about anything else . So I will get an inventory Car

wife had very specific requirements which Led to order only

i will I’ll wait for Xmas/New Years to see what their winter deals are

Mercedes E400 Estate $63k
Mercedes E63 AMG-S $108k
BMW 330i $45k
Audi Allroad: $45k
Porsche Panamera 4 Sport Turismo: $96k
The Jag doesn't seem too out of line.

The thing that grinds my gears is that it's a $7k premium over a XF S sedan.

And I think a loaded Allroad is about $63K now so the XF S Sportbrake is $17K more (though albeit with much more HP)

I'd buy that Jag (or any of them) certified pre-owned before ever buying one new. Let some other douche to take the depreciation hit.

I think it's time for Jag to also retire their AJ V6, it's been around and although it moves lighter sports car like the F, I find it lacking in the bigger cars...

I stand corrected, it is the AJ126 which is the successor. I am talking about the AJ126.

Not from my understanding, I could ask the techs at JLR but from what I understand there were two versions of the engine : the original one which was Ford's Duratec modified for Jaguar (S-Type 3.0) and the update when it was improved to include modern technologies when Jaguar brought back the V6 in the XF and XJ models (2013 onwards)

Which one the 90-93 model or the 95-96 model?

I had the 95 model.
The 90-93 was the better looking.

OF course none were as good looking as my 86 and 90 civic wagovans or the Cressida wagon my family had.

Yeah the Cressida wagon was, for its time, a pretty good looking car.
