Crime isn't so bad here but I don't park it in downtown or any place that doesn't have a lot with light and constant traffic.

Can't think of a more butt puckering experience than driving a S2k at full bore sitting on milkcrates.

Hey guys! Wanted to drop back in and let you know that the S2K BMT drive was awesome! I changed out the tires to the RE-71R and they performed great. Lost up to 2mm of tread that day though.

I've been swamped with work so haven't gotten a chance to go through video and pics yet. One of the guys got several photos of my car and some light painting ones as well. He's a pro photographer so just need to pay him for some digital copies. Will post up when I have stuff to share.

RE-71Rs are amazing. Luckily it seems like the S is your second car though, as you'll eat through those rubbers pretty damn quickly.

Yeah, the S is my second car so that really helps. Will see how long these last. May jump over to the S-04s if needed next time.

Lol, that grampa is getting more than me!

It's nearly time to put the S to sleep for the winter. It has been abnormally warm here (global warming is fake after all) for the past few weeks so I'm still rocking it. Just ticked over 46k miles which means I put a total of 1200 miles on it this year.

That's what the Jeep is for! And soon maybe a FoRS.

I'm wanting to get mine ready to put up as well. Finally have the rear suspension back on the TL and dialed in. Getting the alignment done today so I can finally stop driving the S daily. Hoping for a warm day on a weekend so I can get the S stripped and inside to get it claybarred. That way I can work on polishing over the winter. Needing to decide on what color I want to dip the hood. Probably will do some of the front fenders as well to stop the rock chips around the lights.

Here's some pics the photographer got of my baby. Can't link direct as picture so just putting some direct links:

Yup! But a general rule in life is don't listen to the people from socal when it comes to adverse weather.

Winter would be a perfect time to work on detailing the car...if it wasn't -10F outside all day and worse at night. If it's warm enough to work on the car outside, it's warm enough to drive it.

Totally agree. I'm able to heat my garage up some to help working out there but have to have two electric heaters going to do it. I'm just too busy during warm weather to have the time to do a proper detail. I'm hoping I can get it washed, clay barred (with the rubber towels), and washed again to remove the lube. That will allow me to polish an or prep as to how I want to dip part of it when I'm ready.

I knoiw! Everyone that was there when the photo was first taken was amazed at how good my car looked in it. I even spent some time playing with my RX100 II after I got back to figure out the correct manual settings to do light painting and I was able to get it. Now just need clean cars and a proper light for it.
