I did IL to NV to CA to NM to TX to NM to IL to a couple years ago. In recaro pole positions. And KW V3's. And with a T1R 70 EM. I wore ear plugs. I am incredibly durable.

I've also driven it to Myrtle Beach. Decided to hit up the dragon on the way back. Fun times.

I went to CA by myself. But have road tripped with my GF in my S2000 and in her S2000. I also drive to NYC all the time (though, never in a S2000).

My new Swedish suspension and stock exhaust should make the S2000 an incredible road trip companion.

By way of this picture that I now remember that I never cleaned the car before storage. My method was:
-Race track.
-Race track.
-Sand trap at the race track.
-Race track.
-Home.
-Sandwich.

Shoulda fit in "car wash". But...it was probably a really big sandwich.

Aww. Thanks boo. I'll be 12 this year.

ASL?

??!?!?!?

Edit:
After some quick searching, it would appear that I am actually much older than 12. Some calculation is required. But I would say I'm likely in my 30's. My doctor says that to know for sure, he'd have to count my rings???

LMK.

Found some CA trip pics. Parked outside mt friend's place in Los Feliz, and on the way to SD....parked on some lookout off of PCH, looking at the ocean.

The clutch started slipping on the way back home. I wonder why.....

After I got home, I had about 3 or 4 days until I was going to a track evdnt in Mi. So...the clutch had to come get swapped out ASAP. So much overnight delivery from Japan. Or...Ohio.

Also pictured...a cracked retainer as a result of an 11500RPM shift. Sitting atop a cracked brake rotor. I think I got 6 track days out of this rotor. What a strong spirit it had.

dayum, I had a hard time doing 6 hours in the thing on the freeway. It's loud as fvck going 75 with the motor spinning at 4500 rpm.

75mph isn't 4500RPM. Unless you have it geared down?

I'm good for about 15-20 hours at a time in a S2000. I did 32 hours in a civic (Los Angeles to Chicago)...on 2 hours of sleep...and 10 hours of partying.

I stay up a bunch. I think the longest "stay up and party" was like 50something hours in Mexico. But...I did fall asleep in the pool on a raft after. Nobody woke me up to go jet ski-ing :'(

Fine 4k rpm. The time of driving isn't a big deal, it's more so the deafening noise of a rather loud to begin with motor spinning at a high-ish rpm coupled with passing other cars even with the top up. You don't realize how loud tires are until you pass a semi in a S2000 with top down.

Lol...when I left, I had the dumbass idea that "I'm gonna do the trip top down the whole way". 7hrs later...I'm in some gas station in Iowa...in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road. They only sell 85 or 87 octane. BUT...they did sell ear plugs.

I put the top up after that. Didn't put it back down til I got to the Rockies.

Ear plugs, man. I have an OEM hard top now...and a stock exhaust.

The only reason I wouldn't take the S2000 is if I want to bring my bike (bicycle). I got into biking and I rode up/down some canyons in Zion, Utah last year omgggggg I wanna do that a lot more.

Roland...
you'd love the Milltek exhaust...no drone on long trips but deep bass down low and looks like a hulk version of the AP2 exhaust tips.

No, I'm positive that you hit 4k before 80. Go try it over lunch and let me know.

The AP1 has different gearing than AP2 though. So that might make a difference for some.

Lol, ear plugs aren't a bad idea but noise cancelling headphones would be the sh1t. Not only do they make it quieter but they also provide a stereo.

Long road trips to the rockies is why I bought the Jeep. Doesn't have the driving excitement of the S2k but does have a comfy ride, good gas mileage, and ventilated seats.

Also, once you get to the rockies, you can take some of the OHV trails to get to some sweet spots I'm way too lazy to bike up to.

I'm doing the UK mod this spring once the car comes out. I want a little more noise than the base stock.

I'll probably end up with another T1R 70R EM. And another tube of "pretty in pink" ear plugs.

I wear earplugs all the time. At home in the garage with air tools, in my office to drown out co-worker voices, etc. The only noises I like to hear are extremely loud goodass music. So...maybe noise cancelling headphones make more sense lol.

Got Metallica's Kill em All on fleek right now.

BTW, what is "on fleek" mean? Been saying it for everything. Last night, I had that tub of guacamole on fleek. While I was on fleek in some pillsbury doughboy pajamas. Fleeking out on this new slot-car road race set I bought. It has those twin loops on fleek too. Cot dang.

game on fleek means you're on point.
so I think the context is wrong.

I agree...I put my own XM radio in my work truck for that reason. I love music.

I was all about the and justice for all at the gym the other day.

I listen to like...the most metal shit whilst lifting. But listen to extreeeemely deep, slow groove reggae (eek a mouse, steel pulse, etc) when riding a bike at break neck speed or running or whatever.

Seems strange/off pace.

Maybe that's why I'm stuck being so skinny :'(
