Technically not a profit if you factor in all the fees and taxes i paid.

Great car but its too expensive as a 2nd car for me now. I should have stuck with my budget when i was shopping.

I have a list of valid reasons to sell it.

Nah.... I should have put the whole "its a manual" part in red text. Trust me, I get made fun of and I get props all at the same time from different people so I'm used to it. "You Mexican, American cars suck, shoulda got a Honda", etc.

I didn't want to get buttraped on insurance either... insurance probably would have been near double for me for the same coverage. I'm barely getting by with my Z28 as it is, I've wanted to mod it since I got it and I can count the things I've done to it on 1 hand.

All I know is when it came down to it $14,000 with TTL included was my absolute maximum. Not enough for a good condition S2k.

The Mexican chicks dig it though

I been so freaking bi-polar with this car is not even funny. I keep going back and forth about selling it.

Its a blast to drive but half the time its just sitting around while i use my 335i. Kinda expensive toy that i barely drive. Wanted it for the track but factor in the monthly payments and track expenses, it adds up.

I should have stuck to my budget when I was shopping but I fell in love with this one. Its in excellent shape and still feels brand new!

BTW the thread title says car is for $20k but the description says $21k firm?

Edit: Just read your bi-polar comment, the discrepancy makes sense now

It must have been hard to decide you were going to sell it; that is probably the one of the best color combination. From what we've been reading about the S2k on this thread, sounds like it is heaven to drive. Good luck with the sale.

Fixed. I gave myself a little wiggle room on the price, i know people will try to lower the price on me.

If an AZ owner wants it then I will sell for my exact pay off price.

Get me a shipping quote for zip 01730. Your car is exactly what I have been looking for and I missed an exact color combo 05 with 14k for $19k in MD a few weeks back, may be this one will find a new home in NE

http://www.autotransportdirect.com/ quoted $550

I would have to see how reliable they are though.

I saw Jesal's car in person, it looks mint just like the pictures. And you all know how picky Jesal is about maintaining his cars. Definitely buy it if you want an S2K.

Yeah working on the details now to see if the deal is feasible, if all works out I might just fly to Chitown and drive it back.

As for the Honda family portrait....I never thought of myself as one, but I guess I'm a Honda fanboi after all. (Thanks a lot, Jesal, for calling me one! )

I know I said it was a weekend toy, but the weather was so good today was so good I drove it to work. Top up early in the morning, top down later this morning. Aaaaaaaaaaaaah.......
I got the Honda family portrait going too...
'07 Acura TL type-S
'06 Honda S2000
'06 Honda Pilot EX-L

They just make really great cars so it is tough to look elsewhere.

I was all over the place, think Nickypass x2 and thats how I was trying to pick what I wanted.

I started by wanted a Euro 635csi for 10k. But then realized I should get a track car, so I was looking at a few 944s, E30, Miata, and even Mustangs. Then I saw a 00 S2k for 14k with higher mileage. But i was talked out of getting an 00-01 model. So i increased the price to 18k since I found the 04 with the low miles. I felt as if that was a bargain, which is was... but I just had forgotten to factor in insurance and track expenses.

It seriously was an impluse buy, as im sure you can tell from the start of this thread and how fast i picked it up. I suck.

Dang, your stable is almost like mine. Someone in RL suggested I buy a home car lift for the garage so I could keep all three cars in the garage. I am shocked at how inexpensive they are, I've seen as low as $1700.

Back to the S2K.....
The more I drive the S2K, the more I love it. I'm driving it to work again tomorrow as the weather is supposed to be good. I've put over 200 miles on it since Friday. If I'm not careful, I'll drive it more miles in a month than the previous owner did in 18 months. There is no experience quite like shifting at high rpms. This fscker is FAST when you do that.

Jesal, I see the pendulum has swung about to selling again. Make up your mind, man!!!! Suzuka Blue is a HOT color.

It could have been worst... at least you got a good deal on it, so you've got some wiggle room on the price... Live and learn... I don't think this will be a costly mistake. And if you can't get what you want for it, drive for the summer and sell it before the season ends in late july/august. You can always say you had a s2k, so that's got to be worth something...

I like your car shopping threads anyways... Like you mentioned before, at least you buy 'em

Im not worried about selling it at all. Worst case is that it doesnt sell and i keep it, just wont be able to do as many track events as I wanted.

Not like i NEED to sell it. I do love it but it wont get used as much as I would like to.

Well, my father in law is looking to get a buy out of his lease on a 34k mile triple black 04 S2k. Only mod to it is red door inserts to set it off a bit, done by my brother in law, a Honda mechanic. I think he wants somewhere around $19k for it depending upon when someone would want it. Folks can PM me if interested. I think he is going to post up on the forum linked above.

Your about the same size as my brother, unless your hugely out of proportion you should be OK. Both he and I have S2k's and I was concerned when we were picking them up that it would be uncomfortable for him, but almost 4 months later he loves it.

Sell the 335, pay off the s2k, and buy yourself a cheap daily.. or else you are not welcome in your own thread

The S2K's new home. It will be a garage queen along with the wife's Pilot. My RL will hang out outside unless I add a third bay to the garage. My extra-special little car wash helper, my son, ran into the picture at the last second.

Congrats! she is beautiful.

I think something fun and cheap like a miata for $3k would be a fun track car. Something you can beat on and not have payments on.

Speaking of an S2K track car, our friend in Miami got his s2k totalled out because they stole his entire interior. We were like  for about 5 minutes.

yes they cut the cloth and have easy access to the inside. It's why I didn't get one, living in Chicago and having to park outside = no S2k.
