I'm doing it myself. My friend did his Robbins top by himself in 5 hours. He's offered to help in exchange for a beer.

I spent an afternoon with a guy who was doing top installs for some of the local S2KI members here. A lot can be said about having someone do it who knows what they are doing. He was able to complete a new top install in about 3-4 hours. Pretty cool to watch.
With that said, having watched most of the process, I think it is something that could be DIY'ed, particularly if you have lots of time and a garage.

I had to put the soft top BACK into my silver S2000...previous owner musta thought it was a racekar
Not having a template for which bolt goes where and what's missing from the used top you bought from a junkyard was damn daunting! Took me 20 hours to get it all back together. I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty and giving it a shot.
Ken...I think the dark blue could work with Suzuka, actually. I keep wanting to try something different like a tan top on yellow...but my wife slaps my face and says keep it black!

Also, she's right and should continue to slap you if that's what you're thinking.
Wiz Khalifa had it right all along, black and yellow.

So these got mounted today.
Well. Just the one for test fit. But it seems the 255/225 combo is gonna sit in the fenders nicely.
I'll post fully mounted pics tomorrow! Love them!

Welcome to the RPF1 gang!
After awhile, I love the way these wheels flow with the car. Functional & lightweight

my question is, since I know one of the odyssey caps and even cr-v supposedly work, are there any that are at least chrome or a graphite/charcoal color that would match better?
if im limited to the silver I'd just rather leave them off.

I don't start build threads because updates would be very few & far between. Last time I modified my car was .... 4 months ago?
Posting here is easier anyhow

Just ordered new rotors & pads front / rear.
I know how to take the caliper off & remove the pads. I'm thinking the rotors should come off with the help of a hammer or rubber mallet.
Other than that, anything I should look out for in particular? Any additional tools other than your typical sockets, etc?
Brake fluid was replaced about 25,000 miles ago, so I'm good there.

Nothing special to worry about. Tighten your axle nuts if you haven't already done so.

1) Either drill out the retaining screws or lube em up and get a manual impact hammer to back them out.
2) You cannot use a c clamp or traditional piston retractor on the rear of our cars. You'll need to buy a special tool that allows you to turn it back into the caliper. I had no issues using a metal file sideways in the groove to turn it though.

Apparently, this s2k was hit from the side by a Sonata going 60mph on the freeway. The driver survived with couple broken bones.

Oh, the RPF1s survived pretty well too. Enkei builds some high quality wheels.

I used to give it a couple of whacks with the blunt side of a chisel and a sledge...then hit it with my makita impact and it would work. Silver S was from up North though and that stripped...had to drill out the retainers.
Jin, thanks, man...we try and stay safe!

Wow, that S2000.
Honestly though, S2000s are pretty sturdy chassis wise ... but if that Sonata would have hit the S2000 another foot to the right .. I think the driver would have been less lucky.
