I've heard about the issues you went through - sorry you had to deal with them, but I'm honestly not that surprised. I've heard questionable things about the KW kits on other chassis'. It really sucks you had to deal with that shit though.

So, I drove my mom's S2000 last night ... hadn't gotten behind the wheel in 1 for almost a year.

I forgot how incredibly well designed and precise shifter is - it's literally perfect .. upshifts, downshifts, whatever shifts, whatever situation .. it's there all of the time.

And the steering .. perfect.

I've been accustomed to having decent power / torque over the last year or so ... so ... I'm actually surprised of how slow it felt . Totally not the point of the car, but I remember it being faster.

I am used to torque now too.... but the screaming Vtec gets me more pumped than torque....
and i can actually use s2000's power and have fun..... I can't do much with the 340 without getting into triple digits.... So basically useless power.

Maybe a tad heavier ... nothing a battery relocation can't fix.

In retrospect, the F20/F22 are masterpieces though - leaving it N/A and driving the piss out of it is really what it's all about.

I feel the same way

The S4 is literally a special occasion car ... I only like driving it in the morning / at night with light traffic to truly enjoy the power.

It's not terrible to daily, but having a 6 puck clutch & 15mpg is not really what I'd call desirable.

I love dailying my Fit ... simple motoring at it's finest.

I'm changing my final drive to make 80mph be closer to 1500 rpm...
then I'm doing a manual coil pack cylinder deactivation for highway cruising to get down to 1 cylinder.
Should be around 30mpg by the time I'm done.
Perfect daily: The Honda S2000

Just pull the ECU to do the manual coil pack deactivate

I prefer just splashing water in the ECU for cylinder deactivation

With s2000's torque curve, you will be choking at 80mph

i am sure you can find it ... but with a premium added obviously...

But to be honest, if you are not buy it to collect, just buy 1 in any color and wrap it.... Being a 10+ year car, the paint is probably not going to be perfect anyway.

That is what i would do... instead of chasing for LBP or GPW paying premium for a 10-15 years old paint job.

My previous car was LS1 powered. Torque is definitely nice, but I'll take high revving please.

It's easier and cheaper to get more torque, but harder to build high revving power.

Bob knows that...
technology isn't a bad thing if you use it to your advantage.
I'd like to see someone with a naturally aspirations engine try and make 90 more foot pound with a $500 software update.

How much does a good wrap job go for these days? I'd love to get a green wrap done on the Golf if the price was right...

More than a Maaco paint job.

Probably be cheaper to do a good coat of wax and then have them paint the car without prepping it. Couple years later all the paint will have fallen off cleanly and you can do it again.

depends on the material and the craftmanship.... I was against wrap before and in recent years, i have noticed that the quality of these wrap are improved significantly, i could not really tell if it is painted or wrapped anymore

But like paint... you gotta pay more if you want the good stuff. $1 to $3k depends on cars, materials and of course the person who does it.

I have seen as high as 6 or 7Gs..... but that is just stupid.

Aside from the smurf-homicide all-blue interior, Suzuka & Laguna Blue were my favorites.
Silvers probably next after that.
