Thoi, I was always of the same opinion when it came to silver... until I bought my Z. I fucking loved that color and it hid any minor imperfection you can think of. In ten years, it’ll still look mint. I had some minor imperfections that my friend cleaned up easily with his power polisher. I even put a fucking nasty ding in the drivers side door. Z was stored for the winter in the garage, with the cover on it. I was doing work on the TL in the garage. Lowered the jack and went to pull it out..l handle came out and I bashed the fucking door with a steel pipe [handle]. Small dent and damaged the paint.
I had paintless dent repair done to pull the dent out, and I was able to correct the paint with a touch up pen and wet sanding. It took 95% of the damage away. You couldn’t see it except for very rare angles/lighting. The 4 or 5 people that looked at the car before it was finally bought never even noticed it. No one noticed it. Silver was a blessing in disguise.
plus, sam’s silver is a bit on the darker side. More greyish than anything. Save the 10k and buy a well maintained car. That’s way more important than color.

My close friend had a White on red interior S2000 that he traded with another friend for the imola orange on black interior one he has now. the white was nice, but honestly... kind of overplayed.

Silverstone is fucking hot...
there's Moonrock or something too that is even darker...
although at the time, I thought the wheels and Sebring went so well together...like molten metal...

Better buy one now before you have kids.
Although, over the weekend my wife was like if you want one and we can afford it get one. I still have my eye on a couple other cars though.

RS is right... there really is no good time to buy a sports car. Eventually you have to just be like “fuck it. I want it. That’s the justification I need” and you don’t look back.
The beauty with the s2000 is that it’s not a bad idea, at least right now, in terms of price. You can put 18k miles on Sam’s car over the next 4 years and sell it for just as much. This is one affordable sports car you really can’t lose out on. It will continue to climb in value... or... stay the same value as the mileage climbs.
In a few years you’ll be kicking yourself for not jumping on it. You can’t turn back the clock. But you can always sell the s2000 whenever you need.
Plus, maybe Sam will give you a slight AZ bro deal, who knows.

Personally, I’d just kick him in the nuts, grab the keys and drive away.
but not before the SO kicks him in the nuts first, jumps in the R and steals that too

I bought the first one after borrowing that S5 sports car and wanted something I could buy for cash that wasn't retardedly priced and was fun to drive. S2000 fit the bill...
Well, when it's hot out...heat soak, tight quarters, creaks and noises...Florida's straight roads...all led me to sell the last time. Perfect timing, good cause selling to a close friend for a good reason...had just bought the house and it was a "smart" move. I missed it every time I saw one and in the evenings and cruising down the highway and Florida's 3 months of "Winter" where it's nice to have the top down. I borrowed that same friend's 911 Porsche and decided again I needed a 2nd fun car that was less practical than the TL. I looked at Boxsters for a short time but realized that they were 10 to 15 MORE than the S2000 and not really any better...especially the pre 2006 ones that I wasn't sure I thought were actually nice looking and didn't have the 3.4L. Came back down to the S2000 again...originally I was not looking at yellow but when I took a step back I realized all yellows aren't created equally and all cars shouldn't be yellow. The S2000 isn't one of those cars and Rio yellow is deep enough and has enough orange to make it nice...Now, I'm in love with it and like Adam said, I've been able to really enjoy the car in various states and I can likely sell it for a pretty penny now...3 years later.
but, it turns on every single time and is also a hoot to drive that always gives you a moment of "this just feels so fucking good"...
even this morning on US27 humming along at 65mph...the engine feels strong and happy...sounds awesome, watching the sun rise and the reflection off the clouds...
I had a moment of elation.

And you are right. This car is going up in value and I'm going to kick myself if it pulls an NSX and skyrockets. I don't see that happening but it will certainly not depreciate much if at all.
I don't go to any CL (or otherwise) meet up sans CCW.

If I could half comfortably fit in an s2000, there’d be one in my garage right now. And I’d never sell it. I love everything about it.
