Hmmm...
nobody wants my yellow banana?

Just kidding, I have buyer's lined up...just can't bring myself to do it. I love that car and I made the mistake of dumping one already.
I don't think the S2000 is torqueless...depends on what you're comparing to. But just like a worthy woman, she'll make you work for that performance.
Given the market prices on the 1G NSXs...it's not apples to apples. Better car, of course...I guess...$40K better...arguable.

I was presented with the option to sell S2000 and get a manual thunder grey chromaflair V with recaros...or get the black auto wagon I bought and keep the S2000.
I still think I made the right choice.

Why? You won't buy it anyway.

If you're serious, make me an offer and I may be motivated to move mine.

This.

The Golf makes a metric fuckton (technical term) more torque than the S2000 but the way you drive them is vastly different. The S2000 is definitely not slow and the way it makes the noise and vibration in a tiny cabin makes you feel like you're going 1000mph when you're actually doing 45mph.

Also, you made the right choice. I would have chosen the wagon either way...

I have a buyer that's supposed to be in contact today. I'm really hoping he changes his mind.

ORLY?

I'm literally 10 minutes away so the hassle of actually getting it is minimal. Plus I've seent it. Plus, if he followed my first bad advice and sold it for cheap (which he wont ((prove me wrong, I dare you)), I would seriously consider it. Mrs Wagon and I have already discussed potential first cars for the kid. And S2K is on the short list, college be damned.

Not something I'd really planned to do for a few years, but if the opportunity landed in my lap...

By the way, you're doing it ALL wrong.

Don't buy a cheap s2000. You get what you pay for. No one sells a good condition car for bad condition car money. Buy a mint s2000, regardless of price.

Put it in a humidity and temperature controlled balloon, in your garage.

Remove in 15 years when your child is ready to go to post secondary.

Sell s2000 for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ profit.

Use money to send your child to school... and buy a private island... and jet... and yacht.

Guilty I seriously think in order for me to sell I'd have to have a specific NSX lined up first. I am really hoping to not make the same mistake you did.

I've tried to sell the idea that a RHD R32 Skyline GT-S (because that's more reasonable than a GT-R) would be a good idea but it didn't stick. The S2K though... has been surprisingly well received. Of course, it'd be Jr.'s car in theory only. Mama would whip that bitch all the time and Jr could "borrow" it when there are no track days.

R32 would be a money pit

Probably something wrong with it, but a guy I know has an R32 GTR and he gets 15mpg if he's lucky

Y'all Americans are obsessed with them because they're so incredibly rare in the US... but here? Skylines, especially GTS-Ts are all over. And most people don't give two squirts of piss about them here. Why? Because they're old as fuck, parts are not readily available, and pretty much all of them have been flogged extensively by "pro" drivers... er, I meant 19 year olds.

Is your friend's R32 modified? Because if so, that fuel economy will tank quickly.

Depends on your intentions with it.

I bought my GPW on Tan Interior for $12,500 @ 115,000 miles in 2014. ... it had an accident history, came a bit modded, and the paint / interior was fairly clean.

I maintained & beat the ever living hell out of that thing and it never skipped a beat.

I bought it for fun, not resale

I'm not an idiot, Johnny. I'd sell my lawnmower or something first to justify the purchase.
What about my co-worker's super clean CBR 1000 with custom paint for $2800...think I should jump on that?

and how much did you sell it for?

Also, if you bought that car for $12500 with accident history I basically committed grand theft auto to get mine for $15500 bone stock, clean title, and 40k miles.

I sold it for $10k on the dot ... with a bad catalytic converter, no remote keyfob, mismatched paint on the driverside door, and needed a full set of tires

As for the price ... I think you're forgetting the Grand Prix White color tax?

So you basically sold it for what you bought it for.

Also, I didn't realize the GPW tax was that high...

I think the guy who I bought mine from just didn't realize the value lol.

I think it's a mix of the two ... I also want to say that you bought right as the market values started shooting up.

Crazy thing about it was ... I sold it with 167,000 miles on the clock. I certainly got my use out of it ..

Yeah, we do lust after then. Men - always wanting what we can't have. Guys want Toyota Chasers too

Not sure how modified it is but he has wider, stickier rubber then stock.

I've been working on a lot of S2K interiors lately and this is my 4th time working on CR. Such a perfect car. This blue is just stunning! Apparently he bought it three months from Atlanta for $28k. Has all matching vin body panels and 80k miles on it. The owner has a NSX too!

I get the CR, but never cared for it as much as the standard AP2
Not a big fan of the wheels mostly, could take or leave the spoiler.
