The dragon is good. It is a veeeery long drive though.

My advice would be to do it early in the week. There will still be lots of traffic, but on the weekends you'll be slowing down every other turn with motorcycles and mini-vans. My only gripe about it is it's become too popular with people like us.

Most people make fun of me for never driving more than 30 minutes to a meet...I just am not willing to do something like that to go do something that costs that much in gas/time that my wife doesn't enjoy too.

I wouldn't make fun of you for being considerate. I lol at chicks being dragged to car stuff that look miserable.

At least with Eureka you get up there and theres a fantastic low key resort town to enjoy when you aren't driving. Each year I go, I drive less and spend more time enjoying the town...and by enjoying the town I mean getting drunk and eating lots of food.

Probably renting a cabin this year too up on Beaver Lake. Should be stoopid good.

See, I seem like a real prick, especially being the regional coordinator, but to me...I'm happy with just meeting with locals in the tri-county area and try and pick a centrally located park. Or I plan a meet for people when they come into town...

just happens that I live in the centrally located county

I just drove 40 hours in a box truck. I'd could drive my S to middle earth and back.

Jeez...I once drove back from Elgin IL in a uhaul...that sucked.
Although bj's from the ex the whole way back made it tolerable...just had to be sure her mom that was following in her car didn't pull alongside.

Okay, drove the S today again...1, damn this car loves the slightly cooler temperatures in the mornings. 2, my impression of having lubed up the slave cylinder is MAN is that pedal/shift feel so much smoother now! In addition, those collars on the differential REALLY made a difference, I used to kind have to give it a second between gear shifts for it to feel perfectly smooth...now, it's smooth immediately and the car just feels more solid.

My impression is that it was money well spent and I would HIGHLY recommend those collars to anyone that owns an S2000.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - was on vacation. I did have to change my garage door opener to a LiftMaster 3900 which is a Jackshaft garage door opener. It uses a torsion bar to lift the garage door - which is like you said a spring that sits directly above the door and the jackshaft opener turns the spring to open the door. The cost for the opener is about $300 and it cost me less than $200 to get it installed - (total was around $475 for everything I think) not too expensive.

Interesting, I was kinda thinking about that too...the fact that you don't have the opener above the car.

I this car...

I don't expect everyone to like or agree, but I build my cars within my budget/means.

hope some of you can appreciate it!

I don't particularly like knockoff wheels, but you're not coming in here screaming "omg Rotas are better then Rays" so....whatever - they look good on the car
