The Official Honda Accord Thread

What is the best forum for Accord Coupe owners? I just picked up a new Coupe and I can't seem to find a community that's as active as Acurazine. So far, DriveAccord is the only one that seems to be quasi-active. Thanks guys

they have some knowledgeable guys in here.. but its gonna be about the same as a semi-active accord forum...
some of us have moved on to other cars and such.
V6Performance was always the most active accord forum for me.

I just stumbled across this video I had my wife shoot of my Accord Coupe back in the day. I still love that exhaust note for a V6. That was such a great all around car. I wonder where she is now.

Anyone else really digging the 10th generation Accords, especially with the 2.0t, like I am? Every review I've seen raves about it's build quality and fun to drive factor. The performance for value is hard to beat. I had a little Photoshop fun with what my ultimate Accord would look like.

They look good / have good power potential with that 2.0T - with the right turbo & tune, it's sleeper status for sure.

I really liked both the 2.0T Touring & 6MT 2.0T Sport that I test drove. Cars definitely don't drive like their size suggests. Back seat had nearly the space my F150 had.

It would be between 2.0T or Kia K5 if i was shopping in that segment.

I don't like the 10G styling. It just looks so bloated and that huge low nose is not appealing.
I still really like the 9G Sport styling. It's just so clean. I wish they would have just updated the look with modern materials like the LED lights instead of this radical styling.
When the 10G came out I said Toyota did a better job with their styling on the Camry.

The K5 would definitely be in the running, just for how good it looks, for an econobox.
Jumping up a bit, the G70 & Stinger would be worth a look too, though smaller interior than the Accord X.

I really like the G70 and Stinger, but part of getting an Accord would be the improved MPG. The G70 and Stinger are rated the same MPG as my 2009 Charger lol. It wouldn't be much of an improvement. The Accord with the 10spd is rated at 36 MPG on the highway. I'm lucky to see 20 MPG now a days.

I had no complaints with the 10AT when I drove a 2.0T Touring. Much less hunting for a gear than the 10AT in the F150s I had as loaners, especially at low speeds.

I know. Of all the cars in that segment, it's still the best one IMO. Even without the manual. For ME though, if I was going to go with something automatic, I'd go elsewhere like the G70 or the Stinger or a 3 series. I know all those are more expensive but again, that would be my take on it.

That's what I've heard. Always in the right gear I'm sure helps the turbo keep in boost.

There's a 2.0T I4 option on both the G70 & Stinger
Go test drive everything, see what tugs the heartstrings. I doubt any of the I4T options are going to have the torque of the Charger, outside something like an AMG. But, if I can use my C300 as a baseline, I wasn't complaining about lack of power.

The back of the 10G is a bit drag-assy, but I do like the car quite a lot. The lease deal at the moment is pretty attractive too.
The 10AT is pretty good, and the engine makes good power. The 6MT was a bit more fun to drive but the shifter and clutch were vague
@veggiemonster has a 2.0T sport with the auto and he's running mid-12s.

For me, I'd be after a 1G 2.0T 6MT G70
A bit small for my needs, but probably not far off from the Snailibu.

And yeah for a handful of hardware (physical mods) my 2.0 10at is running mid 12s on stock turbo with more to go if I could lower some 60ft times. Nice part, is the car still behaves in a stock manner and avg 25+ mpg around town even on e30.
Great car, glad I got it.

I know. It's not. But I never said I was getting rid of the Charger.

I'll definitely test drive before deciding on anything. The 2.0t in the G70/Stinger is not really a performer. The HP & TQ numbers are similar to the Honda 2.0t, but the performance numbers much slower than the Accord. I think Honda's underrating the 2.0t.
Lease is out. I'd be buying pre-owned. I've heard about the vagueness of the 6mt. It's honestly not even on my radar. I've fallen victim to the ease of an automatic unless it's a weekend toy.
See above. Stock the Genesis/Kia 2.0t is an underachiever. I'm not a fan of the G70 styling. The Stinger is sexy, but I'd want the 3.3tt but it gets crappy MPG.
Whoa do you have a thread on your 10g Accord? Mid-12s is incredible for a stock turbo! I wouldn't go crazy modding it (<-- I've said that before) but I would want to do some stuff, definitely a tune.

For not doing a lot, they can be pretty quick. Ktuner unit, RV6 catless downpipe, flex fuel sensor kit and a custom tune was enough to get the car into the 12s on 265 Indy 500s. (With >2.0 60fts)
Since then I've done the other bolts ons, charge pipes, front pipe, bigger intercooler. Best on my 19s and the Indy's was 12.64 @108/109 I think.. I do spend the 20 minutes to pull the seats and spare kit out though.
I do have a bigger turbo I'll be upgrading to soon and maybe then I'll throw everything together for a thread.
Ps. I said I'd never get this far either LMAO.

Because of this thread I went to go see how much used 2.0T 6MT's were going for...hint, it's about the same or more than new car pricing lol.

No, I kinda moved away from forums as all the discussions on performance were in a few accord groups on Facebook.

ETA AXF page is probably the best just to see some things, there are performance pages I can link too but they're younger and less searchable.
