The Official Car Talk Video Thread
Aren't Koenigsegg cars top speed runs severely limited by the fact that they had to use some rando stretch of highway out in Nevada/Arizona...whereas Bugatti had full access to the VW speed track?
Wonder how these cars would fare if someone could get these cars to a really good track/road space to completely stretch their legs un restricted...

This made me pee my pants just reading it. I can't imagine how that must have felt.“By the time we get there, he’s obviously out of the car,” Shelby said. “And he was sitting on the ground with his head down. And it didn’t look good.”
As he walked up, Jared said that Webb told him this: “I’m done Jared. I’ll never do that again. I got hit with two different blasts of cross winds, and it moved me two lanes over and into the rumble strips. I had a really close call.”

Great deep dive into the chassis/technical aspects of the 992.
The fact that it impressed Mark so much is a huge win in my book. A really realistic/affordable platform for the future at used market prices...perfect balance between streetable and very sporty at same time
Pandem kits are always too over-the-top for me, but I actually like this.
Wouldn't modify my C8 that way if I had one, but I always felt the body felt too high and narrow in stock form.

Behind the scenes on Savagegeese LFA video: (not public link but still watchable, figured its a great watch for those who want a behind the scenes and why I am a patreon supporter of Mark. Dude is legit on car reviews. He uses wayback machine to find old deleted lexus websites and translate the japanese to get more technical info on the car....like he said....they're not some bullshit vlogger who just wants to have fun with an expensive car.....)

Yeah, I watched that one too. Nice vid for sure. It reminded me of how special the LFA is. I hated the way it looked when it came out, and suspect that that was part of the reason they didn't sell (lease) well, even in limited production. While not a Huayra, the LFA has grown on me over the years. However, NOTHING beats that exhaust note at full tilt. The LFA has all the elements to be a $1 million dollar car some day.

After reading about the LFA watching that video...I have now a much higher appreciation for the car and how special it is. It's not "artistic" like some Italian cars, as you alluded to....but its story and origin and what Toyota did to make this happen...is insane. $1 billion dollars to make 500 cars...basically with extreme japanese engineering and craftsmanship.....honestly one car I would certainly pursue if I were having that level of money/wealth....
^ Someone at the gym is friends with his parents. Said Pastrana's mom was so worried about him in his teens to late 20's when he started to settle down some.

Nick Mason takes Brian Johnson for a ride in his Ferrari 250 GTO
Nick Mason, drummer of Pink Floyd is a big Ferrari fan and been collecting them since the '70's
Thought it was cool he drove both his daughters to their weddings in his 250GT.
