Jay Leno - Autozam AZ-1

This would probably be my kei car of choice, just above a Cappuccino.

Yeah dude if they had properly warmed up tires (or proper tires) for that F1, I'm guessing it would've been much closer to the bike or beat the bike?

That thing was like spinning tires for half the run or more...lol

Article I read said the 1-2 was something like a 0.06sec gap.

Man....you know with how close the F1/bike was....now I'm thinking if the F1 was actually able to grab traction, it would've dusted that bike.....

Alright gonna go on a short rant here. This makes me sad/angry. Dude fucking complains about how his older cars don't get views....(and literally shows screenshots of them having close to or more than 1M views each....) and so he does more newer cars since they "do better."

Dude's probably making close to (or in ball park range of) 1%-er money every year with his views and seems to be just chasing growth and views now. Sad.

Pretty much every social media slut / vlogger. I've never been entertained by his vids. I think it's cool when he shows unknown features of vehicles, but just another toolbag otherwise.

I like Doug. I watched this vid last week and it made since to me. I did peep that some of the vids on old cars he showed were like 800K - 1M iirc. That was certainly an oversight on his part.

The cool thing about watching YouTubers is, if you don't like them just don't watch them, and unsub if you are sub'd. However, I have a feeling Doug will do just fine with his current formula. He may fall off (and other YouTubers too) just because this sort of thing has no real staying power. It's like watching your favorite sitcom, which is consistently funny, but has no progression. After a while you move on to something else. By that time though, all of the YT Famous YouTubers will be independently wealthy and will not care.

There's another missed boat...

IKR, Doug was a nobody back in like 2015/2014, his parents were paying for his Ferrari 360 just for his YT. Now dudes raking in probably 200k+/yr with his million views.

What's genius about Doug is he has an endless material coming. Not only can he do older cars, he has ALWAYS new cars he can do....cause car makers always coming out with new cars year in and year out. Dude probably is gonna be making bank for a while. Unlike lot of other vlogger/clickbaiters that do fall off.

Eh, such is life. There's always gonna be someone richer/luckier than you. Look at Vehicle Virgins, d-bag's dad (think he created ebates and sold it) is a billionaire and buys an aventeador svj for fun.

Gotta keep grinding and get more money...get to work, save, invest in things and opportunities. And money is not everything in this world....

^^ That there can be the beginning of a whole 'nother thread.

"Which car would be a passion buy for you, that you would be more than willing to spend exorbitant amounts of money to keep running?" For me there isn't such a car but I imagine there is for some people.

As for automotive YouTubers, I agree with you on Alex and Jason (EE), but I'd have to throw in Doug and Ed Bolian (VinWiki). But to be honest, Alejandro is my overall favorite YouTuber. He's hate-able and talks waay too much ish but he's entertaining as all get out.

I'm drooling ove rthe 2 Smoke Silver Cossies a the beginning, but the 2JZ Mustang is interesting too. Some of the Jalopnik comments makes sense, this gen Mustang can be had for really cheap, but they've aged well aesthetically, IMO.

I normally agree with you but I feel like this is the worst looking Mustang generation still somewhat common on the road (Fox being the oldest). Doesn't help that almost all of the SN95s I see are clapped out.

Terminator bodystyle looks much better to my eyes.

True, the majority of the SN95s (round body) are pretty ragged (same with a lot of Foxes), but the clean ones have aged well, IMO. The design doesn't look overly dated from the exterior.
