This person literally spent $84k on some blue stitching in the cabin and proceeded to never even drive the car. I've never spent that much money on a whole car let alone some stitching. The level at which rich people can spend money on pointless bullshit is astonishing to me.

At least they picked a cool and interesting color rather than a PTS black/white/gray that looks like every other black/white/gray.

The SLR Even with its drawbacks
Then the AMG GT, would have over the SLS.
Even a R230 AMG. Knew a guy [worked security in his neighborhood] with a R230 SL65. He said I 'lacked the required equipment' to get a ride in it

I've gotten a ride in a fully restored 300SL Gullwing. Will take that over the SLS all day
Glad he didn't offer to let me drive it. $2M car [at the time] that I would've struggled to turn down.

It was pretty amazing. Used to have a few photos of it, but that was from the digital cameras days, pre-smartphone. Long gone now.

His wife wasn't too pleased that we took it out, we'd had a beer or two. They had been giving rides in a Magnum PI 308 & the guys there convinced him to get the SL out for me
