What a helluva a trio it would be for the owner of this GTR to buy that Lark P1 GTR and the matching F1 GTR Longtail to go with his car.

Both cars for sale by the same dealer as well.

^ A beast in power, but IMO the worst SL generation, aesthetically.

A Gullwing SL is my grail car (since the Gullwing 300SLR is unattainable).

I prefer the red interior, personally. But I would take the blue, without complaint

I checked out the MB museum when I was in Germany, last year. They had a 300SL gullwing and an SLR, just sitting there. You could touch them... they make my pants tight.

I know these pictures technically don't belong here, but they fit the discussion... For your viewing pleasure (from the MB museum, last year):

If y'all are ever in Germany, head to Stuttgart. This MB museum was 8 or 9 stories of "super awesome". Seriously, in the parking lot there is a MB F1 car sitting in a glass enclosure. You can park right next to it The Porsche museum is there too, and you get a discount if you visit both in the same day

I adore the SLR.
The Gullwing I got a ride in (1957) was Red/Tan like the Roadster above.

The MB Museum is a bucket list item for me.

I love how exhaust comes out the side fender of the SLR (see 3rd pic of SLR)... Thing must be deafening loud.

All I can find are die-cast examples, but as I recall, Uhlenhaut had a muffler on the car when it was his company car. I'm guessing they removed it when they placed it in the museum.
Some articles do mention that he had premature hearing loss due to the volume of the car on the autobahn.

Spoiler
