so short rant, my best friend's girl has a scion that he recently put in a Double din for her birthday.

well i guess it was her time. last night some scum of the earth piece of shit tried to steal it (unsucessfully)

busted the driver window, hopped in the car, peeled apart the center console ever so roughly and managed to NOT get the t.v. out and decided since he failed at life and stealing, that he would gas the TV so she couldnt re-use it.

he works hard for his money and it just made me angry that this has happend to 2 people i know in the last couple months.

so a note to all you thieves out there (i know some have to be lurking) fuck you and if you die slowly i wouldnt not lose any sleep.

ps. this was the last straw for me, when the prelude gets done with paint im putting in a shock detecting alarm and parking outside my condo every night.

Yes! Thieves do suck! If you cant afford something, you probably dont need it. If you have a drug addiction, then you need help. My window was busted out last summer & my radar detector stolen, I for some reason was more pissed about the busted window, glass everywhere then the radar being gone. Good luck!

most aftermarket double dins poke too far out for the factory cover to close. i've seen some scion owner break the covers loose from the dash and "place" it over them and it seems to work fine.. but this wasnt the case for her.

This makes sense. So many things to steal including an iPod. Typically thieves will grab whatever they can. Here it seemed they only wanted the TV, and when they couldn't have it, they busted it and nothing else.

Either way, sucks for your friends. Maybe they can lift some fingerprints off of the TV and catch the bastard...

from what im told.. the Baton Rouge polic dept. is LUCKY if they get less then 10 of these calls every day.

unfortunately the only thing that comes from calling the cops on broken into cars is a report.. they usually dont go any further...

we are convinced it was one of his neighbors. our friends dont really know much about what we do to our vehicles as most of them live in a diff. city..

so their neighbors are almost certain to blame... good news is they are moving soon.

A similar thing happened to my brother. Someone stole his iPhone, but my bro had a passcode, so instead of somehow returning it...the fucker flushed it down the toilet. It was too big and didn't go down, so it just was floating around. It was in there for atleast 30 minutes, so there was no saving it. They never found the kid either...
