Nissan stinks
I realized today that I am spoiled by Acurazine. My dad has a 2005 Maxima and the Bose cd changer stopped working - the dealer wants $1,500 to replace the cd changer.
To the internet.......and I can find nothing
Nissan's website blows, can't even find the part I need. Went to 10 different Maxima forums and nothing. If it was a TL I could hit Acurazine, find pics and video on how to remove the dash, remove the old unit and install the new one. Found the part I need on e-bay but I'm worried about removing the dash trim pieces without breaking them...............

@ this thread. search,
I think you're just spoiled at the fact that people keep posting the same threads about the same problems every 2 weeks or so. Anyone in the 2G TL/CL section who makes a thread about tranny issues should be banned on the spot.

Sorry OP....Your search ability is the problem here.
And as far as quality of product goes, do you really want me to list all the crap that broke on my Acura vs the stuff the broke on my Nissans? I'm on my 3rd Nissan product.

Yeah, owned. Thanks for the link with pics on the 5th gen Maxima. Unfortunately the 2005 is a 6th gen.
RaviNJCLs - I am not complaining about the quality of the Nissan product, I'm just shocked I'm having so much trouble finding the part and some pics on how to do it.

It's listed under the Instrument Panel. It's $673.38. Not exactly cheap. But that was the first site I went too. Just Google "Genuine Nissan Parts."

Somehow we have determined that he is a Nissan hater when all he really hates is the less than Azine quality of the Nissan forums.
