What bothers me is the wanna sand the chips and blend the door. The owner of the dealership came out to the car with me and he said they'd fix it. So It goes in tomorrow and it will be ready Thursday. I know chips will happen....but I didn't do these, and just as when I bought my CL....I wanted it to be perfect...I take pride in the fact that my CL has all of the original paint. But then again, my friend works at Arlington Lexus, Acura and Kia, he says they do this kind of stuff all of the time.....so whos to say that any new car couldn't have some work done to it...it just sucks a little because I know its getting worked on.

So you guys would let them fix it and take it? I guess any new car could have had something like this done and the only people that would know was the people that did the work.

what do you expect the car has been sitting for over a year. Have them fix it, get the car, be happy. A LARGE volume of cars come to dealerships w/ dents, scratches etc that they have fixed.

Let them fix it, but I wouldnt look for any discount. Its not like it was done on purpose or even possibly by the dealership. Is it a chip like from another car or from a rock? If they bring it back and you cant even tell it happened then who cares. But, unless they do a shitty job it should be fine.

My CL had 1 chip and a lil scratch on it. I had them fix it and buff the whole car over. They gave me a 03 TL to drive for 4 days. I'm going to be realistic and figure that all it takes is 1 or 2 days of driving in the highway b4 someting hits it to scratch it anyway. I know it's a new car, but I wasn't about to tell them to repaint the whole damn thing. Besides at 25k for a 550 mile old CLS isn't too bad

I got a decent sized rock chip on my hood right in front of the windshield on the way home from picking my car up. I didnt get a chip free car for more than 25 minutes.
