Well, if you do it, good luck.

I sure as hell hope you don't a) have problems with it or b) have buyers remorse, especially when you're looking to get out of your p's house and buy property.

I'm only taking 3gs out of the savings....I'll still have 30K to put down on a townhouse right now....so if I save until next year....I'll be fine! This is probably the only time in the next 10 years of my life when I can do something like this comfortably. 2K isn't too much for me....I just know what I want my monthly payment to be....$335 or less. I have 25K tied up in mutal funds and money market accounts....I'm not touching that to buy a car....guys I'm not retarted....I know that property is and investment and cars are not, but how many people do you know with a car that stickers for close to $40K and has a 335 per month payment? This is me dipping into my savings account....which is something I wasn't planning on doing....but this is a killer deal!

be smart save your money. This is a car you won't be able to drive alot of the time and you'll still be making payments on it. Moreover, now you'll have maintenance issues on 2 cars, gas on 2 cars, insurance on two cars.

Just because it's a good deal doesn't make it the smart thing to do.

You'll undoubtly be making more money down the line and be able to afford something much nicer.

For the 3rd time in this thread, the '03+ Cobra has a Tremec T-56 6-speed transmission, unlike the T-5's they used to have. There is NO automatic option on the Cobra.

WTF?????

Your insurance company must be 2 guys in a shed with a bandaid and a phone if they dropped your insurance when you went to a cobra.

Damn bless them for thinking you have a 6 cylinder stang.

I didn't read all 5 pages so excuse me if this is a repeat...

Nicky,

Did you look into how much your insurance is going to go up with the stang. I always check that out.

What else can you get for that same price?

Did you drive the car with the top up? This will be how you will drive it the most. Was it too loud?

Lastly...

Don't do it! Chill out and get something in 2 years that is just coming out!

And the Cobra has crap tires stock, they are just kind of wide but def not sticky.

I'm not dogging the Evo or STi, but the Cobra imo is twice the car they will ever be.

How can you say that?

The EVO has more functionality, and in addition to that its AWD.

Handling wise and track wise it will DOG a cobra. Plus, I'd never own a RWD car as my primary vehicle if I lived in chicago!

Insurance: It was gonna go from $370 every 6 months to $490 with the coupe....so the Covert will probably be like $550....$1100 a year ins't bad at all.

Post Pics....I don't do that As soon as I get the car....they will be everywhere!

Gas Prices: Gotta love a company credit card!

HOW the heck is your insurance that cheap?
With all these young guys here paying 3-4 THOUSAND a year or more for minimal coverage.
You must still be on mom & pops plan….no ???

Congrats on the car.
Hope the insurance doesn’t go up too much with all of the street racing & speeding tickets that are coming your way.

I'd be happy to pay 3k a year to insure my car....

If I have to I will go to my parents policy so I can get their discount if things keep going the way they are.

Congrats on the car, I hope everything works out with it...and don't be like your friend getting a 147 in a 55...if you do, get the same lawyer if he had one.
