I'm getting so many negative responses from everyone I know about gold wheels. I know what they are but people that don't know about rally cars think they look too "pimp" lol. I'd probably like them for at first but would regret my decision after a while.
I'm definitely digging the design and the fact they're only 20lbs a piece and cheap, but I can't decide on the finish. They also come in time attack (flat black/red stripe), flat black or machined. If they were available in hyper silver I'd be all over them, but they're not. Any opinions?

^ No hyper silver wheels I'm loving right now unfortunately. The criteria I have is sub-21lbs a piece and under $150 a wheel. That makes it difficult.

Nope, they're all the same price. If I'm going to spend the extra money powdercoating them then I might as well start shopping more expensive wheels. I'm a cheap a55 when it comes to wheels, but I've always had good luck with replicas or bargain brands. I loved my Konigs.

Nope, not black. The contraversial choice is...
Machined

Although the black ones are nice, I've never been a huge fan of all black wheels on cars because from a distance it can look like steelies with no hub caps. Time Attack is the same way. Although I wasn't digging the machined look at first, after looking at them more and more I really started liking them. Worst case senario if they don't look good on I can either paint them myself or have them powerder coated down the road.

Nope no Photo-chopping there, well, not that I can tell anyway. It's not my photo, I just snagged it off the interwebz. I just placed my order on Saturday so I'm sure it'll be a while before I get them. I hope they look as good in person, but again, if they don't or I hate them I'll just paint them.

I'm 99% sure I'll be running Hankook Ventus V12 Evos in the stock size - 215/45/18. The tires are 3lbs ligther than the OEM Bridgestones, so overall I'll be lossing 7lbs per wheel in unsprung weight, almost 30lbs total. I should definitely be able to feel the difference with this setup on the road.
The main reason I'm choosing stock sizes for everything is because if I decide to sell the car down the road I'll be able to swap the OEM wheels back on with stock tire size and no rear fender modification. I'm tired of either trading in or selling my cars privately with my mods on them and loosing all that potential money. This time I'm keeping all my OEM parts so I'll be able to put it back to stock when I sell it. I'm thinking long term here.
My buddy just picked up an '12 Mustang GT with a 6 speed and 3.73 gears, so I'm slightly regretting not getting the G8 GT I was originally planning on. I love the MS6 right now, but in a few years who knows what I'll be craving if I get tired of the Mazda. If I'm lucky I'll be able to afford a pre-owned 2nd gen CTS-V. That would be the ultimate sedan for me!

We are humans. We will get sick of everything. Drive your ms6 until you can find a good priced CTS V in the future.
And yes you will notice the difference with your setup! Ill probably go with those V12 tires as well when its time for me to change! Its the best bang for the buck tire in the market for sure. Go Koreans!

Yeah the V12s seem to be the best all around bargain performance tires out there. I was amazed at the reviews I was reading through last night. People seemed incredibly impressed with them.
I just found out the wheels are back ordered until Mid/Late August. I wasn't planning on putting them on until I drop the car and need new tires, so that timing probably works out perfect for me.

I'm definitely going to look around, but I might just take my chances on the stock shocks since I'm cheap like that, unless a nice used set shows up somewhere.

But really, I would highly recommend you look around for either used set of Koni or Bilstein. Because if you take your chances with stock shocks, and somehow you end up blowing them up, you will have to get a stock shocks when you decide to sell your car. So, you might just wait til you find a good priced used set of aftermarket shocks to pair up the H&Rs. That way you can just simply sell that aftermarket combo and put the stock shocks and springs in the future. Just a little suggestion.
