New Special Edition TL-S "A-Spec" - PICS

In Canada they are coming out with a TL-S "A-Spec" edition. It has a new two-tone interior, new shift knob... different rims, standard body-kit, JDM Spoiler, side blinkers... and black/blued out headlights. Personally, I may be doing a headlight swap as that is the one change I really, really like . Props to 130HP and 2004TL from the TL board.....

Wonder if they'll do this for the CL-S??

are those lights on top of the wing?
if so what are they for?
on the blue they look red, and on the black they look white or clear.

Yeah...Canada is right next to the US...why don't we have it? Damn, I wish they had an A-Spec CL-S back in August when I bought mine!

Car does look nice...does the front bumper look like it's shortened? Kinda flattened like the BMW.

what do you do about the gauges that are listed in metric instead of american standards and your mileage is listed as KM....can you change that back to american?? is there any other difference in the canadian and american cars besides the gauges??

That's weird they'd introduce this version in Canada, but not in the US. I wonder if Astroboy had some influence on honda to make this "A-Spec" version.

i personally don't care for it

Exterior-wise...the rims r older Civic Si rims (not exactly the same, but close enough)...everything else is cool

Interior-wise...i've never been a fan of the aluminum/aluminum-like trim...shift knob seems way out of place...the 2-toned seats don't gimme the same feel as the Audi Alcantara seats...the steering wheel doesn't do it for me either...floormats r awesome, tho!!!

sorry, guys, i hate to b the party-pooper here

Maybe this is signs that acura is up to some big things in the near future. Can you imagine a cls with the aero kit, two tone interior and 6spd with the rumored 280 or more hp. That would be sweet as hell. I would definitely then trade up. I am so awaiting for next year to see whats going to happen to the cls. Maybe then i can really justify trading up for the cls so I can laugh at all of you that rushed for the 03 6spd and had joke for us auto guys! Then I can be as sarcastic as shawn muwahahahahahahahahahah!!! :P

Sure it's signs of what every automaker does when a vehicle is getting slow in sales: they make a "special edition" to get more peeps in the showroom. They have to move the cars b/c they are probably getting towards the end of the design's current platform, ie-new car coming down the pike in 1.5 years I predict.

Acura Tl-type S A spec, that is a dumb ass name. Damn, really is all that needed. Type-S A-Spec, sounds like a fatal disease or something. It's just an apprearance package. Why the A-spec. And when are the U.S. TL boyz gonna ask for a group buy for the A-spec badge?

Looks nice. I don't understand the marketing angle of a "Canada only" release.

And too bad they didn't put the 6-Speed in there.
They would sell a TON of those.

i guessing the canadian spin was to use them as a "test market". I'm sure the production run for this special edition was less than a hundred. honda probably wanted to see how they'd do first before turning them into the larger US market.

...I don't know...I kinda like the "A-Spec" name.

I agree.... sounds kind of Gran Turismo-ish.....

1SICKLEX.. I think you'd see the CL boys putting that badge on their cars before the TL people. You've been to atl.com... A LOT more conservative over there....

I realy like everything except the shiftnob and aluminum trim....i hope they come out with an A spec CL, if the CL survives past this year....

And i realy dont understand at all why it would just be in canada, unless like someone said it was just as a test market.

Some of the dealers here in Florida are taking it upon themselves to do this ground treatment shit and fancy it up for a higher price. Last time I looked, there was a TL-S in the showroom with ground treatment and CompTeched out including low springs, headers, exhausts, etc. They mix and match these all the time to make bigger bucks.

Good looking wing, but ugly steering wheel and shift knob. Definitely last gen Civic Si-style rims, which is a downscale move.

in canada gauges ae both standard and metric, on my cl the metric numbers are big and bold with the american settings in black underneath.

most people here don't give a fuck about the metric system
even the stores advertise in american settings and have both set up as for pounds/ kilgrams
gallons/litres

im gonna have to agree... everything on that TLS looks wack. The shift knob looks cheap as my free shit. Only thing that looks decent is the two tone interior.. but knowing acura, im sure it will look goofy in person.

Does the car look outdated in those pics to anyone? Now i really cant wait for a new design.
