Bought a 2008 Ford Mustang GT with the California Special Package back in August from Currie Ford in Frankfort, IL but I haven't been on AZ let alone have the time to post pics. I noticed some posted asking for pics on the old thread so here they are. I'm keeping the TL to drive in the winter and bad weather. This just makes the drive from home to work a tad bit more exciting. Also cashed in on the rebate Ford was offering at the end of last year Stangs + an included rebate for an immediate family member owning a ford (brother-'01 Taurus-secondary driver for insurance). $26,300 cash. Only mod so far is the trunk lid black-out panel. I will be getting CAI, 30% tint all around, and SLP Axle-back Loudmouth Exhaust this summer.

Any particular reason why you didn't get/wait for the 2010 mustangs?

1. don't like the looks of the new one, other than the GT500. It looks beefer/meaner. The new one to me isn't even a new design, it's looks like the designers simply photocopied the old stang and used an eraser to round the edges off 2. ford was DESPERATE to move their lot, even though they still are now. 3. the combination of rebates that were being offered only lasted for that month 4. i just wanted THIS car.

I love the new Stang's exterior style. :thumbup: Fortunately, the upcoming 2010 Stang is supposed to have a MUCH upgraded interior to match.

the pictures aren't really that good because I took them with my phone, but the interior does have somewhat of an upgrade over the regular gt as far as paneling, but i do agree that the new interior is at least slightly better but not tremendous enough to where it would sell me on it's exterior looks.

after having a lazy easter with the family and a nice meal, I decided to take the 5 minutes of my time, which is all it takes, to get rid of the dealer plates, replace them with plain, black metal frames, and remove the dealer sticker. not sure why it took me till now to finally do it, but i'm sure it won't take me long to get to the mods this summer once i'm out of school. i'll post pics once i get my 30% or 40% tint all around, k&n CAI, and SLP Loudmouth Axlebacks this summer.

I'll see if I have some in my cards. Can't remember if I do or not. Looked like any other red/white GT500. Had it for about three weeks until someone offered me more than I paid for it, as it was in the beginning of the frenzy for that particular car.
