Seriously, RLX Sport Hybrid. It's actually better than you think, and with the awful depreciation you can get a used one cheap.

But really, CTS-V. Join the movement....
Bob - how do you like yours? I totally forgot about the RLX SH...

FWIW, they're also by far the most common on that list, at least around here.
if i were to add two to the list it would be used M5 or E63... but i would be really nervous about the used German maintenance bills...

Q50 is the new re-branded G37

They wanted to re-brand themselves by making it more confusing..

If you did the E63 AMG S Estate, you would be the true Wagon King, and I would worship.

Import a RS6 Avant

It's not on your list, but I vote ISF. If not that, then CTS-V.

Lexus GS - fits the price range $50K + some luxury + reliability. But your criteria might not be the same as mine.

I voted Chevy SS. You get power, looks and uniqueness. You get similar internals as the CTS-V, which I like but the styling is a little much for me. The chrysler products just seem to look old quickly. The GS's are really nice but more of a luxury cruiser. The Germans maintenance is too much of a risk. All IMO.

Holden conversion and maybe a blower on top of the SS... could be a contender for 20k less???

Yes 65k brand new

That is why I said used. RLX depreciates faster than Germans...

and now i am waiting for SSFTSX to find me some examples to prove me wrong.

They are out of his budget used too. His budget is not much different than what I was looking for and when you can find them for sale they are $80k or north of that if you are looking for the previous gen body style.

yes because of the above comment... this would still be my daily and the GSF at $85k is basically fully loaded and i can jump into every day and not have to worry about an insane maintenance or warranty coverage on the car... with an S6, M5, or E63 i'd definitely have to worry about an extended warranty...

I'd advise caution with that one. Even though Lexus is known for reliability, there's a lot of new stuff in that car that may or may not actually be reliable.

it's all vapor money anyway...when i went to look at the NSX for bob last night and i was drooling over the car, i quickly went home and told my Mrs that i want one if the right one pops up...

after looking over the finances, it wouldn't be financially smart right now with baby and all... so alas, continue to dream... i'll continue to drive my 01'GS430 till it dies...

You're going to have more fun in the CTS-V,

These new Lexus, although nice...are still pretty damn lifeless in terms of steering feel. Car feels great overall, don't get me wrong.

The SS is not a bad option as noted above. There is the issue of fuel consumption, but the SS is a true sleeper. You could sneak that one past the wife. Used they are probably in your range.

...and the drivetrain is robust, old-tech, and therefore rock steady reliable.
