New Daily! Audi S8
HI all, been a minute since I've posted but wanted to share by far the best daily I've ever purchased. This is a 2017 Daytona Gray Pearl S8 Plus I recently picked up. It's a 4.0L turbocharged V8 engine 605 hp/517 lb-ft of torque! It's just insane. Options included the Black Optics Package, Cold Weather, and Dynamic Package. It was in fairly good shape for 55k miles. This is a daily driver and I don't plan on many modifications. I had the wheels refinished due to some wheel curbage. I also went with 35% ceramic tints, blacked out all logos (and de-badged the V8T), Paint corrected with ceramic coating on body/wheels/windows, and lastly PPF added to mirrors and B Pillars. Just a few pics from yesterday!

I have had a ton of cars over the years, NSX, Porsche, Audi, etc. But this is by far my best and favorite daily. Unbelievable comfort. performance, and looks (imo). I just never imagined I would own such a car.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Nice job. One of my dream cars. Always thought the lux-o-boat would be king with enough HP. Keep us up to date on how much the upkeep is. That might be my go to car once I hang it up.
Question: How big are those tires? 315s?

Congrats on the new ride! Beautiful car. The headlights on those things are some of my favorite ever.

I've always admired the S8, so much so that I was cross-shopping it against the 650 Gran Coupe (which of course won).

That's great you were able to narrow it down to two cars and eventually settle for the 650. What led you to this? I was kinda all over the place, but only really looking at Audi- S5, RS5, S7, RS7, and eventually settled on the S8.

Price. There was a brand new 2014 650 with every option on it someone ordered and never purchased sitting on the showroom floor. I offered them $20K below sticker ($80K) and they accepted. Plus I liked the looks of the 650 very much and was leaning that way. Cross shopped a Panamera and S7 as well.

None of those would be a bad choice. Tough call between a S7 & 6GC for me.

I'm glad I didn't go for either of the Audis actually. Those two models are all over this area, in all the years I had my 650, I only saw one other GC and it was a 640.

True, I don't see a lot of 6GC running around here, and even fewer _8 Audis.
Panameras are fairly common, too.

Three Wheelin'
The most desirable and rarest in my area is the 2008 TL-S manual
I agree with you 00TL, my area has a fair amount of panamera too despite all the moaning about their looks. Audi _7 are all over though. I used to see 2 RS7 around, but I have not seen them recently.

Curious what did it for you between the S8 and the RS7 since for the most part they share the exact same drivetrain depending on the years. My dad looked at both and I thought for sure he would end up in the S8 a few years back cause of the more comfortable seats but he choose the RS7 because he liked the R8 and said it reminded him of a 4 door one.
