New Cars from The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift

Too bad they didn't use a TL, I'm sure they could have done something outrageous since they have a fairly unlimited budget, but cool cars none the less

You're right. I really didn't think about it that way, but they did have an Integra in the first one. I would have loved to see what they could have done with an NSX as well.

How come the engine & drivetrain on the 67 ford mustang says:

Engine: 2001 Nissan skyline Rb26
Transmission: 1998 Nissan Skyline 5 Speed 2WD

I don't know why but I think in the 2Fast 2Furious website, the blue and silver Skyline was labled as a Prelude.

I just thought it might be cool to see what they could do with a TL. Sorry, they don't have to make it look like hell. But I bet you each one of those cars would be fun to drive.

I do agree the movie will be :ghey:

Just thought this page would be interesting to see since so many people are into modding. Didn't really think I would get in the process.

It doesn't even list the offset on any of the cars.

I'm still watching it.

if you click on the cars to see them flip from angle to angle flip to the front view you can see an intercooler

Drifting is way harder and cooler to watch than your typical, no skillz required, boring straightway racing.

The way I think of it, drifting is a competition of skill and drag racing is a competition of whoever spent the most money.

I agree with that 100%. I've seen a dude around here with a old P.O.S. early 80's mustang 5.0 only mod done to it was had a set of Flowmasters. He beat guys at drifting just cause he was good not because he car had 100 grand under the hood. He ran against guys with some WICKED 240ZXs, there was a lowered small block S-10, S2K,Supra.

With dragging you gotta have the big bucks if you wanna win.

wow.. thats been out for almost a year now.

the cars in this movie are LAME! 3 350z's that are so ridiculously riced out, a muscle car that thinks its a ricer, the ugliest rx7 ive ever seen. the rx8 isnt too bad if it wasnt for that nasty rear end.

everyone pretty much knows the story is going to be lame as hell, but i would love to see some drifting!

Isn't that only in US? I think Japan got the Z a year before but I'm not sure. The movie is set in Tokyo so that is what I'm guessing

yes you are correct. but if theyre saying that its a japanese model than it should read 2002 Nissan FairladyZ and not the 350Z. the 2002 Fairlady Z came out July of 2002 and as an '02 model. so Japan only had it a month before we got ours, not a year.

Because of the F&F..all the import car priced went up and insurance went up. Now, everyone is going to try to drift with FWD. This is going to be some funny crap. I am going to wait to this movie to come out and sell my 240sx for extra. lol

I remember watching the episode of Top Gear where they had the Japanese R1 (is it R1 I always forget) drifters come on the show, do some demo'ing and test out a pontiac GTO.

I specifically remember Richard Hammond saying:
"They use older model Nissans and Mazdas, chipped and nitrous'd up to 500 break horsepower"
^Not exact quote, but you get the idea.

Shitty ass movie. I''m going to watch it and enjoy every minute of it.
