Many of us mods are mature in age, if not in spirit (though personally, I'm a 17-year-old at heart even though I'm 40). I frankly have a very patient wife whom I love....she allows me to spend $$$ on my cars...so ed I am and ed I shall remain. The only thing better would be if she liked cars and drove stick.
You'll understand if you find the right girl/guy, you'll be ed too.
at this, too. You are correct on all three counts. The last being I have been nearsighted AND geeky since fourth grade. (TV announcer voice) This car is one thing that is made easier by staying in school, kids! (/TV announcer voice)
Edit: Engine pix coming today, I swear.
As for staying in school, yes, by all means for you good people out there reading this thread, en education is your ticket to having the things in life you're not likely to see otherwise (unless, of course, you are a successful entrepreneur). I have traveled both roads, putting myself through college 13 years after high school and let me tell you, it was the best decision I ever took.

Hey now, some of us yougn punks know the value of a good education and we also have wives to please.
School is the best way to ensure a future for yourself. I spent 7 years (I know) getting my BS, and I'm after an MS now. My company is paying for my MS and a great wage on top of that.
Many also have to continue their education, either to remain licensed in their field, to remain competitive, or both. We have an engineer that has been with our company for 30 years, and because he has not stayed on top of this, he has two levels of supervision above him that are 20 years younger than he is.
The wife thing, well... Mine's not as into cars as some of yours...lucky
I just wish I knew what I wanted to do straight out of high school, so that I could afford a V now, oh, and less snow so that I could actually drive a 500+ hp RWD car in the winter.
- Approaching my 30's, going on 18.

Engine pix as promised!
Engine bay
Supercharged
RIP....for now...
Naked engine--all plastic off
Driver's side
Passenger side
Engine block
iPod integration
Nanny screen for navi.
Other navi screens. It's a touchscreen AND uses a knob. It's a little confusing but eventually I'll get used to it.
XM Weather
Neato! Part of the navi screen displays what music you are playing when it is not fully extended.

that's awesome neuron!
BTW my dad and I went to the Caddy dealer today to talk it over w/ the salesman and take one for a spin. He's looking at getting a 6AT Black Raven fully loaded w/ Recaros and all. He's gonna think it over for the next couple days, but he loved it! I hope you're enjoying it .

LOL, I'd hate me, too.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruben_Studdard I'd say he's been pretty successful. I loved the first album, didn't listen to the second (not a gospel guy) and disliked the third. Looking forward to the fourth! But that's OT....
Do eeeeet! He should just do it. You'll get to drive it, too, then.

LOL ... for some reason I don't think he's gonna . It doesn't seem like they're gonna budge at all on the price and that bugs him. Also he doesn't know if buying a car is the right thing to do right now so we'll see

I love how the screen retracts, and you still have a useful display.
No hate, just envy. Kids, stay in school and this can be your reward.

Impressive functionality on that Navi screen. I'm now almost embarrassed to even mention that I have navi in my Accord....seeing as it seems so inadequate compared to *. I'd LOVE to have the weather forecasting function.
Oh yeah, and about that engine bay....

i've seen that retractable navi screen before in other cars like the older Infiniti's. i am actually not a fan of retractable screens myself.

Bob it's probably wise you didn't show the nav screen at your house. You would have come out and your car would have been gone...
I saw at the Portland Auto Show. It's an awesome idea.

This car will be my daily driver. The wife, my little boy, and I went grocery shopping today. The trunk is better configured than in my RL. I realize that seeing groceries in a supercar is not what most people expect, but this car will be one fast grocery-getter.
Congrats on the new ride. It's sweet.

It's all in which dealer you talk to, and who you know. Some are doing insane dealer mark-ups, others are stuck on MSRP, some are discounting a little. He definitely needs to look around. I've heard about dealers with multiple cars on the lot, not moving. Now is the time to make a good deal on one of these.
Or he can go HERE-click, join the site, and look for deals from the sponsoring dealerships.

Oh and my dad and mom rented a car friday and went to Georgia. to visit friends. I have to my head as to why they would rent a car to drive there

OMFG, 541 @ the wheels? Nice.
This makes me want to come back to the good ole' US of A so I can get one of these (and have a Subaru in the garage as the daily driver).

No, I need max reliability, so I don't envision any engine mods for a while. I've already got more horsepower than I can reasonably use on a public roadway. On a more positive note, I just passed through the break-in period of 500 miles. It's supposed to be warmer this week, so I'll be playing a little more with Competition Mode (Stabilitrak off, Sport suspension setting). Hehheheheheheh....

Someone picked up my RL already. I hope they find Acurazine--I should have left a note with the site address on it in the car. Lucky bastard got a good deal as it was on the market for only $23k. While I love the V, I miss the RL too. I wish I'd been able to keep both.
I feel like a giddy 17-year-old driving a mid-80's Camaro (that's when I was 17) when I punch it. I love driving it. It's quiet and comfy when I'm not pushing it. Not RL quiet, but not bad. As for the wife.....I drive it like a sane person when she and my son are in the car, so she doesn't understand the significance of this car and doesn't know the beast that lies within. I plan to keep it that way, too.
