The sedans have never had as good a resale value as the G35 coupes...

Sedans for 16K, but coupes are still in up there (in the 20's - at least the 6MTs).

However, didn't you state in the beginning, that you wanted a car less than 5 years old, < $16k, reliable, and good on gas?
I was under the impression that the VQ engine may satisfy criteria #1-3 but #4 ... VQ is not very good on gas ...

Gas consumption will be less with a Honda or Toyota than Nissan. But for me the first 3 criterias are more important unless your wife plans on driving more than 2K miles a month.

We are going with a 2007 altima lease. The deal: Altima 2.5S no options 15k miles/year 2500 down (I know I know) but 255+tax per month for 24 months. I did this route because it is easier to get financing on a new car and we are trying to rebuild/repair her terrible credit.

Congrats on deciding upon an Altima.

However ... I just noticed you're from Akron -- isn't that Honda country??? I guess I live in an area that says "Buy Domestic" as its moniker so I guess if that applied in Ohio, then you'd all be either be driving Jeeps (re: Toledo plant) or Hondas (re: Marysville)
