My wheels after I parted with the TL.

Ok guys some of you might think im crazy for tradding the Tl for the new ride, But then again you will understand if you live in NewEngland. Besides I still have the R1 if I wanna go fast enjoy.

And here are the only pics I have of the R1 before I locked the garage for the winter. And these are before the ondertail kit and before the front and rear flushmount blinkers.

I live in new england i I still don't understand. Nice truck but too much for me IMO. Good luck with those $60-$70 gas fillups

If I wanted AWD I would get a subie.

Kevin, the R1 looks sick! The dual micron pipes look soooo freakin' awesome! I love the undertail exhaust look. I was comtemplating getting the CBR 600RR just for that look, but I got a great deal on my f4i. You, Thierry and I will have to hook up next season and cruise.

The Yukon is a definite plus in New England, but hopefully you don't need to drive too far every day.

Well honestly a fillup is 57$, And Yeah we will be riding big wheels in the spring. As for the bike yeah we will hook up for sure in the spring for some bike riding.
And as for the question of why such a tank? Because I can.

No really I needed something more in the line of the big SUV. I travel to Nova Scotia alot ( thats where im from and familly is still there) and it hard in the winter if you dont have 4WD. I also need the room for my luggage. The real deal closer was the price and condition and I love the ride. And cant forget needed something too pull the trailer, I have an R1 and Im getting a 700 raptor soon.

I don't think anyone will give you shit for not having your TL, but full size SUV = :ghey:

Sorry, but even in the world of Full size SUV's those still aren't cool, even with big wheels like 90% of them have now.

You have a lot of haters on here, but whatever. I like your truck, and just as long as you're happy with it and it serves a purpose, who cares.

Post some more pictures in the spring when you get some wheels for it!

The only reason anyone should ever drive such a huge SUV....

There's too many homos running around with big wheels on their "trucks". Doesn't do it for me anymore, unless its a G wagon or other high end SUV

Nice bike

But why get an XL? Why not even just a regular Yukon? You can't be towing that much to make that big of a truck worth while. Not to mention that can't be fun driving around Boston (just driving around Boston suck period).

To those of you who posed the question to REDLINEN, "why do you need...", it has nothing to do with "need" and everything to do with "want". When we start having to explaing why we "need" something, we have lost a measure of our freedom. Let's not play into the hands of those who hate internal combustion engines and would like to see more government controls over our "wants".

^^^ My point, besides the fact they drink gas like there's no tomorrow (Literally!), is they are dangerous to those of us behind the wheel of cars. Yet the people who buy these do not take that into consideration. Why do you think everyone is buying them? Because there are so many of them on the road that a lot of people don't feel safe in a car anymore.

I'll give you an example...

A few years back my parent's had an Expedition. This thing weighed almost 7,000lbs! A friend of mine had a little Civic hatchback that weighed what, maybe 3,000lbs soken wet? What do you suppose would happen if those two vehicles got into an accident. The Ford has almost 4,000lbs on that Honda. You do the math...

fuck the haters, i like yukons. i personally dont have the need for one, but since you do, 1. people moving, 2. trailor for the bikes, 3. nice winter truck......i think its totally reasonable.

i know i want a nice truck one day, i really love the regular size yukons, they are very nice trucks, i test drove one and was blown away by how manueverable and smooth the truck drove

Listen, I'm not gonna hate, they are good trucks. Just be careful in the snow with it. That's a lot of weight you're moving around and once they start to slide, even with the 4 wheel drive engaged, they just keep sliding. Real nice bike, btw.

You can get the same powertrains in a tahoe or pickup without the extra mass of the suburban.

The next gen Chevy/GMC/Caddy looks pretty hot. U might wanna consider to trade.

If i had to get a large SUV, these would be my first choice. Good Decision on the Yukon.

That does look sick, But honestly im real happy for the moment. Next ill be looking into what I really wanted a convertible. The only reason i did not go convertible first is because my wife said if I was going to get a convertible we needed a SUV first. Now we have a 04 accord EX-L with navi and my beast. Coming soon s2000 or 350Z. Thats after the new yamaha 06 raptor 700r
