I love the Subaru BRZ! I'm glad you got the subaru version as it's better equipped and for every 10 FRS you'll see 1 BRZ. It's essentially the same car but still...
Also you win on the World Rally Blue. Congrats man!

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
It's a Subaru with some help from Toyota, and the Subie looks a touch better than the Toyota (unashamed bias). Welcome to Subaru ownership.
Looks like I need to get one. And well played sir, well played with the Prius.

I was definitely about to leave the thread shaking my head and then decided to scroll down to see funny comments and saw the BRZ. You got me

This was the origin of the joke, by the way. I was looking into cars and getting a lot of crap for wanting something fuel efficient

My first mod will probably be the tail and reverse lights. I can't stand the stock ones.
Stock:
TOM's tail lights + smoked Valenti reverse light
Going to rewire the reverse/fog lamp (the central light with the 'V') so the LED triangle lights up like this:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47409
I got the idea from JS in his thread before I even got the car

Actually it's a Toyota with a Subaru Boxer. The Subaru does look a touch better, but it really is a Toyota.

The tailight + reverse section upgrade changes the whole tone of the rear end. haha
I like both Toms and Valenti. Valenti is much cheaper than Toms right now since it's on groupbuy promotion @ $270 vs $440.
I would have bought smoked Valenti if it didn't look too "black" during the day.

I love those tails! Awesome idea on the bottom "V" too, that looks great.

I think so. When do we get out own section on here?
And definitely get TOM'S! They're such an upgrade.

I wish I were joking, but this is totally srs. I almost went by a week of ownership, then this happens:
I was at a complete stop, shortly after an intersection. Girl behind me in an Escape is hauling ass (35 mph+), cuts off car next to her to avoid owning me. She is rewarded with a symphony of horn honks by the person she nearly runs off the road. I was relieved that nothing happened, then an old lady in a Civic behind said Escape swerves, but still barely clips my car.
She doesn't notice the damage, claiming she doesn't think she hit me. I show her exactly where, and she offers to go through a guy she knows. No thanks. She was in a hurry but I got all her info, and I contacted my insurance agent after. It was a very slight graze, but I was at a dead stop and she was going at least 20-25 mph.
If this weren't a brand frickin' new car and the speed differential so much, I may have agreed to go off the books. Last thing I want is a crappy paint match. I'm not too worried, it's just a hassle and I only hope the paint will match and stay matched over the long term.
On the bright side, at least I wasn't owned. I could be in a neck brace for a while.

Sad to see that, glad your OK. But it pains me to see a brand new car get damaged.

Ugh, that's very infuriating. Good on you for counting your blessings, though. At least you didn't end up like me.
Before you go to a body shop though, take it to a high-end detailer around your area. I've heard of some people using touch-up paint and wetsanding to get rid of rock chips, maybe a similar method would work on this. It might not be 100%, but close enough to be preferable to a repaint.
An example (smaller chip): http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=617142
Just a thought.

If you had the Prius, the ions from the battery charging would have repelled the invader....
Seriously, that sucks. Maybe a good body shop can match/detail it and have it look like new.

Fuck already? It never fails when you have something nice and brand new some dumbass messes it up. I've come to the conclusion that women think the car is driving itself and that their only responsibility is to make "course corrections".

Thinking about changing the dash panel. I was never a fan of the silver in the BRZ, or the general abundance of it to begin with.
For reference, stock BRZ interior:
The question comes down to, do I get a standard black dash panel (as seen on the RHD GT86) or the one with the triangle pattern found in the FR-S?
Then there's this guy who plastidipped his parts... came out looking quite good.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18887
I'll leave some silver trim pieces so it doesn't look like a cave inside. I will change the shifter bezel and HVAC trim pieces to black for sure though... a la BRZ tS:

oh BTW, for my fellow twin owners. Apparently the headrests can be turned around to accommodate helmets on track days. Not sure if it's just a coincidence or not, but still cool. #8 on this list (some interesting tidbits there too):
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24030
I'm getting rid of that sound tube... considering a Corsa catback. The tips are to my liking. My Camaro was uncomfortably loud to drive on the freeway for extended amounts of time... but I spent time in a Corsa-equipped LS1 car and it was awesome at cruising speeds. A quiet exhaust will be welcome... later on I really want an unequal length header to get that boxer rumble.
I want that deep sound

I swear once these little annoyances are done, moar low is on the list next. I'm having fun on these crappy tires though. The car is very controllable and forgiving.

Oh yeah! I put the headrest backward at the track too!
And plug the soundtube hole under the glovebox with the 12v socket plug in the glovebox!

I think Corsa is a great choice for exhaust. In for sound clips.
Something like 3M CF wrap might work if you like the pattern on the FR-S's dash. Just an option.

I like that the numbers match the great thing about our colors (even more so yours) is that nearly any wheel color will work.
That does look good! At the moment though this is my dream setup:
OAKOS automotive says they have them in stock, but the gunmetal RPF1s are "limited". But they've been selling them for about a year now. I'd rather get lowered first, and the coilovers I'm looking at are on group buy prices too.

I've seen those pictures. Those are 18x9.5 +38, correct?
The gunmetal ones look amazing on WRB. I wanted those too. I'll probably PC my wheels if I do want to spice it up a little in couple years.
If you are not going to track the car, 18" is fine.
Which coilovers are you looking to get? I'm probably going to go with KW V3.

Will likely get RCE Tarmac Zeros. Biggest factor is comfort, so I at least want a good damper. I will likely only adjust ride height, then never touch it again. In five years, I adjusted my Koni Yellows dampening only three times.
The 18s will be heavier, but it's a drawback I'm willing to accept. aesthetics brah

RCE is a really, really good brand.
I want RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsport. A little over $2k.
VTEC brah. You need stickers.
Those 18x9.5 RPF1s are still like 18 lbs. They are lighter than the stockies.

Yeah I'd never heard of them before, apparently they're big among the Subie crowd.
You know this already, but made by KW. Custom valved for the FR-S/BRZ. Sounds awesome.
