My new 2009 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 picture thread

I just purchased a new (to me) Genny sedan with 16k miles on it last week and I thought it was about time to grab the D5100 and do some decent pics. Keep in mind I am a total photography noob and these haven't been post processed at all but I think they turned out OK. Anyway, check em out and let me know what you think of my "old man's car" as my wife called it....

Love it. Great color combo. Now get rid of the H badges for some wings.

What's the quality of the materials like? Same/better/worse than the G?

Really nice looking car. Congrats.

Sharp looking car. I like the color.

My suggestion, do this (badges and lip spoiler): https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=643

Really nice looking car. Congrats.
I love it! I'd say the interior quality is actually significantly better than the G37 as it is obviously targeted more toward the M class rather than the G. It definitely has more features and there are very few hard plastics anywhere in reach. I still have the G so its easy to compare.

Thanks! I am definitely wanting to do the badges but am unsure exactly how to. Do they just come off with force or do you have to use tools?

My link should help. I had to break the "H" on the trunk to get it off.

Lol, Google is my friend! Just watched a great Youtube video on exactly how to remove the "H". Where did you order your Genesis emblem from?

Cheers for St. Simons! Yeah, colors have never really been my thing (always end up with black, white or gray) but this deep blue sapphire is gorgeous and goes so well with the tan interior. I really love this car!

Looks good. I see the OEM shit-tastic tires have been replaced, which is a good thing. As for the wings, they come off easy. You can find the wings on eBay all over the place, and dealers sell the too.

My dad has 110k miles on his 10 Genesis. Hasn't had a single issue, rattle, creek. Leather looks, smells and feels like new. Brakes are still original. Its a very well built car.

That is what I have noticed as well. Its three years old but still has that new car smell! Of course it only has 16k miles so it looks about brand new...

The leather in the Genesis is uber-soft...everyone who sat in mine LOVED the back seat. Said it was like sitting on a comfy living room couch.

Yea checked out the Genesis R Spec forums, and owners are impressed about the reliability of these cars.

Makes me want go go Genesis Coupe in the near future.

Also Nice CAR TS!

Too bad I had to put my daughter's car seat in the back! Then again, she's the reason I got something so big...

They make pads to go under the car seats so that they dont dent the leather. But yea, having 2 kids in car seats i would like to have the Genesis right now over my TL as the back seat is SOOOOOO much bigger.

I improvised and put a bath towel under the car seat! Need to get one of those pads though, good idea! I'd hate to have dents considering how the back seats look brand new...
