lol...Ill never forget a drive I went on in Austin, when you see a guy in an Elise holding his shifter up in the air while driving.

Pretty common problem on 'em. At the track I go to in Cresson I'm actually tired of hearing about shift linkage breaks!

I broke the shifter in half....the linkage still works I drove home in 3rd gear.

I see there's still a little bit of Colin Chapman in the newer cars....

You know the old story about early Lotus's....they designed them with strong tube frames, then started removing tubes to get the things light.

Once they removed a tube and the frame broke, they put that tube back in and "all set then!"

All in good fun, the current cars are awesome. That is a little shocking though.

I hope your dealer wasn't HRM. You don't have the enForcer from sector 111 do you? I would think that that mod would pretty much ensure this problem on cars impacted by the recall.
