Got into an accident a month back, cops came out and said no injury, no report. Luckily the kid that hit me admitted fault and I am fixed up. I wish I could give you advice but I can't so how about a handy instead?
Also holy fuck at insurance.. Go lease an m3 and call it a day

No police report? Just some witnesses who side with you and some fucking cocksucker claiming you were backing out when he accidentally hit you while he was buying flowers for his grandmother? 2 sides to the story and not calling the cops doesn't work in your favor, but it also doesn't work in his. "Not sure who this is or how you got this number but please don't contact me again".
Seems pretty simple to me...it never happened. Simple as that...cost of the bumper respray which you already had coming, and a lesson learned. Stop being nicer than the people you deal with.
Now...easy suggestion, deduct a bumper respray and an extra $200 for the hassle from your asking price and let the new guy deal with getting the car back to perfect while you get your financial legs back under you.
You've lived fast...now live within your means. Having no stress and money in the bank is almost as exhilirating as an 11 second quarter. For you YOLO generation...yes life goes by fast...but it's still really fucking long. When you're 40...have your house and hot wife and kids and THEN get your boosted C6 or C7 or Lambo or whatever.
That's my opinion and advice.

when dealing with a douchebag...one must become one with the douchebag.
Maybe you'll have to pay...but do it $1 at a time for the next 2 years...and sometimes do it in pennies...and glue them to a piece of cardboard in the shape of a dick. Cut a hole in the cardboard where the guy can put his mouth up to to suck your dick of pennies.
just one idea. I have tons.

as i said just let your insurance handle it at this point since his insurance is already involved and most likely already heard his side of the story.
you can't put too much time arguing that he was speeding because based on his damage, it is really not that bad.
just learn your lesson and the accident will be gone from your record in 3 years.

well kinda irrelevant because he was not tested. He could still be under 0.07 (even tho most likely he was not)
You know insurance will exhaust every possible options before they admit anything.

I only put thought into it cause you're a cool dude and I feel like we're of like mind. When I was younger I always thought I'd have bad luck with getting tickets and breaking rules. As I've gotten older I realize I brought a lot of that on myself by going against the grain and being young. Right of passage!
Anyway...don't sweat it...it'll all work out. It's a lot of what ifs, so I wouldn't agree or get recorded stating you'll pay a motherfkng thing. You sent the guy a text with a quote...you didn't tell him hey how are you man, you hit me and I'm at fault...you could still fight it IMO.

Either way, a good friend of mine referred me to a good lawyer. So if need be, I'm covered.

Ehh, cooler cars is debatable. I'd love an S2000 just like yours. Plus your new KBP addition has me drooling over a sedan again. I'd say you're beating me big bro. Haha

Update:
Not much to say. We're getting to roll over 15k here shortly. That's 8,300 miles in just under 5 months. Car's still a joy to drive, flaws and all. Took her in to get an oil change yesterday and they noticed that there was a leak coming from the differential area so they told me to schedule an appointment to bring it back and get it sorted out.
Car's still awesome though. Handed out a few more L's to some nice cars.
- 2016 Camaro SS
- 997 911
- Panamera GTS
- Numerous other 15/16 5.0's
- A couple vettes
- Ferarri F355
I'm really itching to get her on a dyno soon and see what she's got! I'm hoping for 450+whp on E85 but I guess I'd be alright with 435-440whp.
I think that about wraps it up! She's dirty, has multiple battle scars and still runs like a champ. Love this car.

Thanks Kev.
I won't sell unless I get exactly what I'm asking for and I find a suitable replacement. The only other cars I find myself really losing my self-control for are Vipers, C6Z06's, GT350's, MK4 Supras, 996 or 997 911 Turbos.. None of which I can afford right now otherwise I'd be posting about one of those cars instead of the 5.0. Haha.
The C6Z is the car I'd be most likely to get to replace my 5.0. Cheap, reliable once the heads are addressed and plenty fast for a street car.

I do love this car, you're absolutely right. I just have a very serious case of ADD and "what-if" syndrome.
And believe me, there have been a few cars that given me an "L" too. Less than five in total, I believe. But it's still happened. I blame the fact that I'm still N/A.
I watched a Whipple'd base model '15 GT *RUN* away from a modded C6Z06 the other night. I genuinely felt both happiness and sadness at the same time.

Here's some recent photos of the Rustang! With a special guest appearance from my new Valentine-One! About time, right!? My best friends got it for me as a surpise a couple weeks ago for my birthday.
My "legacy" plates should finally arrive sometime this month.. The initial estimated wait time was 8-10 weeks according to the DMV's website. It's been 12+ but I'm just excited for them to come in. So hopefully my car will look at least 10% as badass from the rear as this black Z06 does.

I love it! The bad part is that now even fewer people want to line up. I was hoping for the opposite.
Dude! Have you got vanity plates for the C6 yet? You need something asap if not! I even found a video of myself on instagram because the guy recording hash-tagged #lolnext.
I will do my best to fulfill my obligation! Haha.
So funny though, apparently according to some people I work with, my car is slow and couldn't even run down a 528i.. Much less have a shot an E92 M3. I was more shocked at the ignorance than anything else. They had the nerve to say the best Corvette couldn't touch a V8 M3 in a straight line, much less a corner.
I've never been more confused and salty in my life..

Update on the clutch:
I told the Service manager the truth about my mods and he was like "bolt-ons and a programmer shouldn't cause a clutch to fail". First good sign.
So we went for a test drive with him driving and the clutch was acting normal and the trans wasn't grinding so he said next time it happens bring it right back no appointment and we'll pull out the tranny and get to work on it.
I'm very happy with their customer service and the fact that the service manager is a gear head too. So next time the clutch gets funky on me, I'll be dropping the car off and they'll be digging into it to figure out what's going on.

I put it in 4th @ 30mph and floored it and watched as the RPMs and the speedo rose in perfect sync. I also tried holding the vehicle in place on my driveway (slight incline) by using the clutch alone and it held fine. I'm starting to think another component may have failed (i.e. - master cyclinder, slave cylinder, etc).
No choice but to find out!

Well, I dropped the car off for the clutch issue I'm having and called to follow up a couple hours ago. According to the tech, everything feels normal and there is no slippage whatsoever. However, this is the same tech who admitted that he hasn't driven many manual '15 GT's.. So who's to say he knows what the clutch pedal "should" feel like. The service advisor told me again that both visits are documented and if any damage occurs to the vehicle due to this issue I'm complaining about, the repairs will be covered under warranty. Wish they would actually open up the trans and look.
Note: The issue I'm having is that the clutch is extremely vague with little to no feedback at all. It still goes all the way up and all the way down without any sticking points, but the bite point is very vague making it increasingly difficult to get a smooth shift in. I'm starting to think it may be something related to the slave cylinder rather than the actual clutch.

Meh.. Call it a blessing in disguise. Worst case: new tranny!! So long as they document and are aware of the implications and will take care of you, that's the hard part IMO.

If I could, I'd like to interject, I have a real dilemma on my hands. I have a 2012 TSX SE I'm making payments on still and it's great. I've got led interior lighting and a sub installed but I decided on this car over a 07 TL-S in white with 40k miles and one owner for the same price but a steeper shorter loan. I kick myself everyday for this. I have, however, located an 08 TL-S in grey 6MT, with 70 or 80k miles. I feel compelled to go upside down for the car I really wanted, am I insane?

I don't know what the issue is/was but I picked her up today. The dealership said they couldn't replicate the issue and because of this, they didn't actually "fix" anything BUT the car feels way better today. It feels normal again, maybe even better. Lol. I put it to the test shortly after picking it up and stopping to get some E85. I was pumping gas when a guy and his girlfriend walked up to me and asked if I'd like to get a couple runs in. I won 2, he won 2. Quick car. He had a gutted Evo 8 that had full bolt-ons, E85, cams, an Evo 9 turbo and a tune by Dr. Boost. Quick car and an awesome couple! My car felt normal and pulled well, no issues going into gear or while quick shifting. Made me wish my 5.0 was a little quicker though.. Haha.

You're telling me!
I picked up some 315/35/20 Pirelli P-Zero run-flats after work tonight. Not my first choice for tires but considering how quickly I run through them and how cheap these were ($100 for the pair), I couldn't pass 'em up. Gonna throw on my tiny 255/35/20's in the front to replace the worn out 275/35's and run a super raked set-up for a while.. Or however long they may last. Maybe a month or two? Lol
