I drove it, too, and I was very impressed. Its now her frontrunner for a replacement lease. She also liked the Mazda CX9 a lot and felt it, too, drove much smaller than it is.

I'd imagine the Ascent wouldn't drive too much differently than the new Outback XT, but the Ascent is nearly a foot longer than the Outback, and likely wider I'd think.
I've driven both, the Ascent doesn't drive like a Tahoe but it also doesn't drive much differently than a Pilot, Highlander, etc. It does drive "small" but it certainly feels bigger than an Outback.

The Ascent is lighter and feels smaller and sportier than the Outback. Even brakes better. We also drove an Outback touring with the 3.6 for comparisons. The Outback was nice dont get me wrong. The Ascent was downright impressive.

Disagree. Drove them both back to back yesterday. Drove them up a steep super twisty hill with a cul de sac at the end to show the turn radius.

Like I said, the Outback is good. The Ascent is impressive.

And having owned a Highlander...no it does not. The Highlander is couch with wheels. The Ascent is much sportier in the same vein as the CX-9 and Durango RT. But Unlike the Durango, the C-X9 and Ascent don’t feel their size.

Well given that this is entirely an opinion thing, we can agree to disagree.

The Highlander is for sure more cushy than the Ascent but in terms of how they drive on a daily basis, they aren't hugely different. That said, if I were in the market for a 3 row SUV today I would be buying the Ascent no questions asked. It is FAR better than any of its competitors at being an all around family hauler.

I would have to drive the cx9 and ascent back to back. But I’m thinking I’d pick the ascent as well.

Of, my opinion, a Durango SRT is better than the others overall. 😬

Depends on what you're looking for.
Thermon isn't sure what he's looking for cause it's what she's looking for and "she's" never know what they're looking for.
