M35 or MB C class for a one day rental which would you choose?

Guys my 40th Bday is coming Friday, I think if the weather is nice in Seattle I would like to rent a nice car to drive that day. At Hertz Prestige collection I can rent a M35 or C class Benz for something like 184 bucks tax included. Which is the more fun, sporty car to drive? One that will make me not want to give it back?

M35 will be far more luxarious/comfy. C-class is pretty plain-jane inside, and is only sporty if you get the c350 or c55

M35 would definitely be sportier (and roomier)...

During my last trip to LA, I rented a M35 from Hertz. It was an excellent car and fun to drive. I'd recommend that one.

I haven't been in a M35 but I drove a C300 for 15-20 mins and hated it.

Maybe if you could rent a C350 Sport it would be worth it but I think I'd rather have the M35.

Its done, M35. Now lets see if the weather clears up for Fri/Sat than I will rent a M35. But a clear day in Seattle in November is a minor gift from God.

I say M35 as well. But is it really going to cost $184 + tax?

WOW! I didn't know it was that expensive for a "slightly" above Ford Taurus sedan. You can rent normal sedans for $40/day.

I don't know all the details of your bday, but if you're going to rent a car, why not get something a little more special? not saying a c/m35 isn't special...

I'm just saying if you can (financially) I would get something a little more fun maybe coupe/roadster: 335,370Z,S2000,A5/S5,C6 Vett, G37 etc. Of course I wouldn't know if those are available or if you even care.

If it were my bday, and I could financially afford to treat my self, I would pick a sports car... either way, happy early bday, enjoy w/e you do in good health.

congrats on the bday! M35 would be the best option, but you should consider a Corvette too

M35 hands down my cousin has a M45 and it's a great car very roomy and sporty. My friend rented a C6 vert from them as well and had it for the weekend it was a blast to drive. Hertz has cool cars.

I'm a little late with the pic of the rental because my cpu's net was down. The Hertz at the airport offered to upgrade me to a 2008 Corvette for 20 bucks more than the M35 so I took it. So the deal was 154.00 for a 24 hour rental of a Vette, unlimited miles.

I was kind of let down, the car feels like a tractor that can go 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. I do not like pushrods engines I found out, It is the opposite of BMW, Honda Smooth. It is loud, coarse and the car had 30k on it and felt like it had a lot more. I think a lot of people had abused it. It can go fast as shit but just too rough everywhere for me. Not bad, at least I got the Corvette thing out of my system.

That's the thing about Corvettes ... The reason some people love them is the reason most people don't.

Look up "Corvette ZHZ" or "Hertz Corvette" on You Tube. You'll get the idea of why its 30K miles seem a lot more.....

No way does Hertz offer stick shifts cars, they disconnected the paddle shifters in my Corvette rental as well.

I want a 335i as a rental next.

I wish I had just stuck with the M35. The tranny in the Corvette was kind of thrashed. But damm its not cheap to rent these things. The m35 is 185 a day tax included.

Quick Reply: M35 or MB C class for a one day rental which would you choose?
