negative .. both are British. Different shows, but sometimes you see the same guys on either one (such as Tiff Needel). Speedvision recently began airing some 5th gear episodes. I like Top Gear better...

basically Top Gear is a show that aired on BBC, Fifth Gear is a newer show that started on this British "Channel 5", and featured many people from Top Gear. I looked it up because I wasn't 100% sure about the history of the two...
