Looking for a truck and I came across this...

I've been thinking about getting a truck for the longest time. Pretty much decided on an FJ60 Land Cruiser. Once I finish playing around with my TL I can start restoring one of these beasts.

So when I was browsing an FJ forum I saw this:

No idea they made TE37's with 6 lugs.

tose might be TRD wheels not totally sure about that though

but about those swinging doors in the back, did not know about those, thought they where normally just a liftgate instead

and as you said restoring one, yeah they are starting to get up there in age, so probably not going to find one that is not going to need a bit of work

After a little bit more research I found out they actually did make 6 lug TE37's, so it is very safe to assume that they are in fact Volks.

I plan on keeping the Cruiser forever, and eventually swapping in a Turbo Diesel out of something and not worrying about emissions.

as said was not totally sure about the wheels , but guess you found them lol

as far as the turbo diesel, might i suggest a cummins 5.9 (since iirc the cruiser already has a inline 6)
i would also say source an original Toyota diesel engine from overseas, but kinda pointless in the sense of trying to do simple repairs, everything would basically have to come from overseas, which can get real $$$ real fast, so the reason for suggesting something a little easier to come by here

Honestly whatever gets the best fuel economy with decent torque will be whatever I swap in. Basically I want something that'll be reliable, fun, and eventually appreciate in value. In Georgia its all about lifted beat up old Fords, I kinda want to join in on the fun with a little JDM.
