Looking For The Best Travel Emergency Kit

Now that I've got a baby in the car, I thought it would make sense to get a quality/comprehensive emergency kit in case we get stuck in the middle-of nowhere. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which are the best ones out there? I don't think I really want a "fix-a-flat" can in the tire, so having a 12V pump would probably be a nice feature. I'd like it to be a really nice one that I can keep for a long time and even in multiple cars. It just seems like there ought to be some-level of an "extreme" kit out there that aims to be compact and high quality. Thoughts? Thanks!

Of all the ones I've looked at, and the ones I've received as gifts, all of the individual components are junk. Yeah they have everything all in one, but the first aid kits didn't have anything save for a few band-aids, the air pumps were weak and crappy, all the tools were low quality, etc. Not really confidence inspiring.

What I would do is go get a tool bag or box from Sears or something and obtain everything that you want/need on an individual basis. That way you'll have top quality stuff, and you can get wrenches that fit all the bolts on your car, instead of fooling around with a crescent wrench. All the stuff you need, nothing you don't.

You never know when a shovel will come handy when you need to bury something/someone.
