yeah but good luck getting 100 HP out of a C6 without voiding the warrenty and still have the dependability of a Z06. the resale value when you go to sell the Z06 is greater.
there's TONS of regular vettes or soft top vettes but only a few Z06s.
It'S kind of same thing with Mustang Cobras. Even if I had the money this year for a Mustang I'd wait on a Cobra.

The rims are made by Axis www.axiswheels.com they are called Mod.

Darrinb, the wax I use is Zanio http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc A lot of people on this forum use it and they like it.

Man, do you know anything about these cars?? You can easily get 100 HP without even thinking about voiding the warranty.

I don't pretend to know much about extracting pwr out of Vettes but I'm sure GM had a reason for increasing engine disp to 7L to get that extra 100 HP.

They've also said they're won't be another more powerful Vette using the LS block as they've used up all their tricks.

Being GM that may not be saying much though.

My post was not directed at you, rather Water-S. And yes, increasing the engine's displacement is an easy way to get more power, hence the way that GM took.

I added about every bolt on (new larger throttle body, cold air induction, new full exhaust, remounted air sensors, Jacobs ignition system, fuel pressor regulator, new knock sensor chip) to my 300hp LT1 Vette and then had the car dyno tuned by laptop and I gained 40hp on dyno. A stock LT1 (auto) averages around 220-240 on dyno and I hit 280hp. So, thats probably around 60-80hp to the crank or so.

You should add the basic bolt-ons to a C6 really letting those 7 liters breath and get some good gains.

I knew it wasn't directed at me, I was just asking the question and suggesting that it may not be that easy to get 500HP out the LS2. Would bolt on's do it?

As for Water-S suggesting she should have bought a Z06

Good luck getting a Z06 if you want one. The waiting lists started over TWO YEARS ago when the car was first rumored.
Kerbeck in NJ (Largest Vette dealer on the East Coast) has over TWO HUNDRED FIFTY deposits already and he doesn’t even know if he will get that many in 2005/2006.
Most dealers will only be getting one or two at best. Larger dealers maybe four or five.
Once the excitement calms down, it might be easier to pick up a 2007 model in late 2006.

Not necessarily. There’s a lot of C5 ZO6’s on the lot now because they’re getting traded in for C6’s.
The new “base model” C6 w/ Z51 package has 95% of the performance & handling of a C5 Z06.
