Look at the tint job on this G35

Is this guy nuts or what? He says he has 6% all around and 43% on the windshield. No doubt it looks good, but he's gonna crash into something the first time he drives that car at night in the rain:D

BTW, the guy is from Florida. Is it legal to tint your windshield there?

Dumb.

I am RobG 08-05-2003 08:13 AM

that car looks hot blacked out, i know in NY 70% is legal limit and you can't tint your windshield

mc222 08-05-2003 08:15 AM

Wow....Super Clean...I think its legal in florida...but the front is def. illegal

Scrib 08-05-2003 08:16 AM

I'm lost for words right now...

JaySyn77 08-05-2003 08:16 AM

It's not legal to tint the windshield here, but a lot of people still do it. It looks nice, but it's only a matter of time before he gets pulled over.

Slimey 08-05-2003 08:16 AM

Reminds me of the scene in Star Wars where ObiWan tells young Luke to put down the blast shield and 'use the force.'

KissMy_Type_S 08-05-2003 08:18 AM

I have Madico Onyx tint 20% all around and 45 or 50% on the whole windshield too. You really can't tell the difference through the windshield from the inside but from the outside looking in it makes a huge difference.

Nashua_Night_Hawk 08-05-2003 08:23 AM

why having windows, he should ask for a custom car with NO windows!

ch1276 08-05-2003 08:33 AM

can't see how you could possibly drive like that

fuzzy02CLS 08-05-2003 08:39 AM

Windshield is not legal anywhere. 28% is the FL legal limit on front windows, 15% on rear & side windows. That car doeas look good though. I don't like black but that is

zamo 08-05-2003 09:04 AM

Thats limo tinting and there is none on thr front. It just appers to be.

Smitty02CLs 08-05-2003 09:10 AM

I think the limit here in FLa is 50%, I have 20% all the way around (except windshield) on my black CLS. ... it's plenty dark..looks great. The cops will get you though, even though they have chilled a bit about tint in the last few years. I have got 2 tickets in the past for dark tint... not one yet in the CLS.

CLASSYCLS 08-05-2003 09:14 AM

I had my windshield tinted here in NY, loved it, but it sucked when a state trooper pulled me over for it!! then a couple of days later I got blasted by a rock to the windshield!! this was on my old car, but the day that I was going to get the windshield done, a fucken rock came from an suv and blasted the windshield on my CL-S!! so I guess it wasnt mean to be!!

h2o467 08-05-2003 09:18 AM

That's the dumbest thing I've seen today.

Actually there is tint on the front..... All G35 coupes have a light beige color on the insides of the A-pillar, regardless of the interior color. It's pretty clear that the front windshield is tinted, because this light color would show if the windshield was not tinted.

Besides, the guys says its tinted... so why are you doubting?

danny25 08-05-2003 09:36 AM

that looks amazing, but I wouldn't want to drive it at night. A friend of mine had a Silverado with 5% on the sides and rear, and he had to roll is windows down at night to be able to see his side mirrors. :shakehd:

ferizzo 08-05-2003 09:41 AM

I agree it looks hot but its asking for trouble (cops or because he can't see anything around him).

r10apple 08-05-2003 10:01 AM

The legal limit in Florida is actually 35% on the front two windows, and also only 35% on the front strip which can only be so many inches (I think like eight). The rear windows and rear sides can be any shade you want--even spray painted...
I honestly can say in my shadier, younger days, we all had 5% on all the windows and 20% on the front windshield (all the way). You couldn't see inside the car at all. I have to agree with Tom2 (amazing, I know), driving at night was a cluster-fu(k. Driving at night and in the rain was even worse. I was constantly scrubbing my wheels on curbs and such...
Florida is cool because they can only give you a non-moving violation which used to be $32. So, if you got pulled over you just went later on and paid your ticket. I think I had about 6 or 7 tint tickets back in the day...

Sdog2012 08-05-2003 10:56 AM

thats fucking hot, im def gonna do something like that on my next car

mattg 08-05-2003 10:58 AM

it would be nice on a sunny day, but it would suck ass at night. visibility = 0

liquid_x 08-05-2003 11:31 AM

i think im gonna do something like that. just not as dark.

YuppieCL 08-05-2003 11:50 AM

i wonder what it looks like inside out. limo tint is way too dark, but it still looks good, even though i wouldnt suggest doing night time driving.

fuzzy02CLS 08-05-2003 11:51 AM

FL limit says 28/15% on that tint law website Maybe it's wrong.

1999TL 08-05-2003 12:03 PM

crazy...looks good though. I'll give him that.

ATLcl98 08-05-2003 12:03 PM

Lol, i doubt he'll get pulled over. Any of you FL boys notice his PBA booster badge on his license plate? lol, I never knew for sure if that thing could get you out of a ticket - but it should.

A buddy of mine had 5% on his windshield and all the way around his pickup truck. I'll conclude that he does everything extreme, and in this case - he was extremely idiotic

dets 08-05-2003 12:18 PM

real dope.. course i can't do it. to deep in the cut for me.

zigzagzig 08-05-2003 12:33 PM

looks very very damn good

18anatak 08-05-2003 01:35 PM

it looks pretty good i think.........mine has 20% all around and 30% on the windshield, and i havent had any problems yet

mrsteve 08-05-2003 01:41 PM

That looks hot...G35's are just sexy as hell.

dbox 08-05-2003 02:24 PM

he now needs a red light going back and forth on his hood.

could the drivers name be michael?

Sdog2012 08-05-2003 04:38 PM

%43 isnt that dark, id rather have that on my windshield than nothing, itd help reduce oncoming headlights, like suv headlights that are eye level and bright as fuck

darrinb 08-05-2003 04:45 PM

that looks dope
