Lexus new GS Hybrid ...How about an Acura HybridCoupe?
I saw an ad for the new Lexus GS450 hybrid, has 3 engines, 1 gas and 2 elec, has 30 more hp than the gas model.
"Under the hood: The 2007 Lexus GS 450h will have a 3.5 liter V6 engine combined with a permanent magnet motor. Lexus says the GS 450h is rated at 339 combined horsepower with the gas engine and electric motor. Lexus claims the 0-60 acceleration is 5.2 seconds. For perspective, the 2006 GS 430 has a 4.3 liter V8 that has 300 horsepower.
Electric motor and battery pack: The rear wheels of the GS 450h will be driven by a 197 horsepower, 147 Kw, permanent magnet motor. "
Somebody give me some real ideas on what Acura could do with a new coupe. We've seen the styling of the TL, the gizmos and SH-AWD on the RL. What will a coupe have?
My dream is very sporty, loaded, with AWD, and hybrid power or electric engines set up to boost the hp way up. I think Acura needs to go in this direction with a a new coupe, probably taking a lot from the RL.
What do you smarter guys think would be feasible for Acura to do with a new coupe with the new technologies?? I guess it would be veery expensive to have everthing.
