"Flood car" pretty much means any car with water damage in the interior-- the source could have been a hurricane, a car driven into San Francisco Bay, one caught in rising waters off the Mississippi River or a car that fell into one of the thousand lakes in Minnesota.

Look through your disclosures from the dealership, then do a title/VIN search on your car before going further.

I was responding to Willd Dogs link Hurricane Katrina happened before the car was ever build and super storm sandy was no where near the states affected but i could be wrong.
