That makes sense. i thought it was broken, and would leak, and was figuring then a loaner was a given!!

Ha, not a chance.
I'd actually be interested to get the same as what I have, a 2.7EB crew cab. Curious to see how the dual-injection (port & direct) slight bump in power & the 10 speed transmission drive.

Ha, no, my appt is mid-November.
May try to get something for a day or two until my wife is out of town.

If I did get an '18, it'd likely be practically identical. Magnetic metallic crew cab XLT Sport. Would probably go with the 2.7 2wd again. But would add a few options the current truck doesn't have & would leave the sunroof off.
Would go Magnetic again because Guard isn't available with the Sport. Guard is hands down probably my favorite Ford color on the F150. Really like the Smoked Quartz on the Explorer too.

RCF is a bit of a departure from the E400 Estate.

It would be for the wife, not me. She is looking to replace her 16WRX, she got end of 15 (there is a thread here about it). Just reached 37K miles. She had the LS600HL before that for 8 years. She wants to go back to Lexus.

That makes for an interesting series of cars. LS - land yacht, WRX - rally car, RC - GT cruiser coupe.
And dad gets stuck with the wagon? Methinks you need a CPO/user E63 Estate, not an E400. Can't let mama have all the fun.

Don't dads in life make all the sacrifices ? Unsung heroes of the world.

She sees things bit differently.

She sees the LS she had, as a 4 door family car. I had a 04 LS430, which I gave her. She drove it 3 years, before we upgraded. It was my idea to get the 600hL. She wouldn't have known the difference if it had a 1.8L corolla motor

When we were shopping for its replacement after she drove it 8 years, we went through all sorts of choices, from GS-F to WRX. She wanted to get back to a manual trans, so that was an easy quick decision. But after 2 years of driving it, even though ours is the Limited, she misses the luxury and the quality, thus wants to get back to Lexus (her safety zone).

If I could find a clean (proper color) CPO E63, I would get that. I still have two months or so, so my eyes are peeled

And I'll gladly deliver for the small cost of a return flight
Forgot your budget, but here's a white/black w/ 22k on it: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...elCode1=E63AMG

And since we're spending your money, skip the RCF & get this for your wife. same delivery option applies:

Wife's car has to fit 4 seat. And no I won't be spending 315K on her car. Nice try though

I won't buy ugly white wagon. No thank you. Red only.

^ Aw, you're no fun.

No used red E63 Wagons within 500 miles of Houston. Didn't look CPO, probably out of budget (assumption).

I can’t find a red CPO in whole USA last two weeks I looked

i am willing to spend more than an E400 estate, if I can find the right color CPO only Amg wagon

i wont compromise on color on Amg or non Amg

my wagon color was a mistake and I have lived with the mistake for four years

i previously never made a color mistake like that and I will not do it ever again

Doesn't appear to be a CPO, 41k miles on it. Only red AMG Estate in the US on Autotrader, that I saw.

makes sense why it doesn’t come up in my search since I am only searching CPO cars

I will either buy he new e400 (current dealer offer is $5500 under msrp) and keep 5 years

if used, CPO, I prefer under 25k miles, so I keep it 4 years and when it hits 100k dump it

Nah, I'd be fine with a 502A Lariat Sport & a kart. I'd never use the Raptor like it's meant to be used.

If people only bought things the way they are meant to be used, whole world would be driving a maruti Suzuki 800cc

one intersting thing I noticed lately, in certain parts of town where one wouldn’t be caught seen driving an “American Car,” there are quite a few new raptors making in roads in that demographic

I just wish the ford lettering on the rear tail gate was smaller

No doubt on that.
Just would prefer a more road oriented truck to an off-road truck.
A crew-cab EcoBoost Lightning/Tremor would be perfect.

The 1G Lightning is IMO.
I need a crew cab though. I could maybe do an RCSB for a daily, but need room for the kids on occasion.

Tundra with headers and exhaust and call it a day. Once I install an exhaust and free up air flow all the way I'll be around 420hp/450lb torque easy... well over a Raptor from the same year. And it's a Toyota, it will last me forever

420/450 ain't bad.
Just never was as comfortable in the Tundra as I am in a F150 or Silverado. Tundra would be my #3 pick with the Ram/Titan way down tied for 58th place.

Tundra is fantastic

my issue is with the 5 feet bed in the crew cab it looks ridiculous . Like a fat sumo wrestler up front with a thong in the rear

No doubts about the Tundra, my father-in-law has had one for a few years & it's made the trek from CA to TX a few times. Runs like a champ. I just don't find it as comfortable as mine
Titan is The worst in the full size segment IMO.
Ram, just not a fan. Nothing against Chrysler or anything, just never cared for them.

I hate the cluster on the F-150.

That's the only think I dislike about the F-150.

Saw an article where a group fit a kart into a short bed 2015 crew cab F150. Just had to remove the rear bumper.

Which one? There are 3 clusters on the F150

XL:

XLT

Lariat to Raptor

The clusters are interchangable, lots of people upgrade to the 8" Lariat+ cluster. Just have to have the engine hours & mileage programmed in.

my only 2 complaints about my truck are...

my bluetooth and sync were odd for the first year...it would just suddenly unpair and lose audio.
they didn't beef up rear leif garret springs to accommodate the topper and tools so I bottom out and have a saggy ass (not a Ford issue)...
there's a whine from the rear diff that they keep ignoring. oh well...

Other than that...the thing has been great to me for over 32K miles. on second set of tires...
get in, sport mode, traction off, autoshutofffuckoff off every single time.

Nice!

How is long till you get next truck?
locally most fleet dump their trucks at 50k miles and lease new ones
that’s usually at the 18-24 month mark

That's too long of a truck for me. I use it mostly for towing versus hauling... so as long as a kart fits in, it works for me

Those clusters are sexy! (Well #2 and #3. At least #1 has a nice layout.)
