Long-term, I'll probably eventually pick up the 8" Lariat cluster, has a built in boost gauge & some other toys that the 4" doesn't have.
The ability add/change things on these is crazy. I've seen a few guys add features from the Platinum to an XLT. Just a couple code changes with ForScan & bingo. Even updates the records on the Ford side, like the truck had it OEM.
Eventually I want to add power folding mirrors & maybe add in BLIS, but that something like a $2k project. 36gal gas tank would give a boost in range too.

Agreed, the full size digital screen is a lot better. Just need them to come down on price. Same with the BLIS LED taillights.

Mostly just the typical DD grime.

It's been creeping upward, since I'm not towing the trailer with any frequency anymore.
18.5 is for the last 12 months. Last 3 months average is 19.8mpg.

I probably would never tow anything. I don't have the need.

The project classic car would see the road going to shows, so I wouldn't trailer queen it.

18.5 isn't bad.

It may actually be higher. With the headers, high-flow cats, and exhaust, you can actually get quite a lot of gains... reportedly about 50hp and 90lb of torque. May even be higher...

I've seen above 22mpg on straight/flat highway at 80mph.

They're a little closer than the Conroe track, I've talked to the head guy on the non-rental side via email a few times but haven't made it by the track yet.

Truck went in on Tuesday to get the sunroof repaired & tailgate alignment fixed (driver side didn't close as flush as the passenger side).
Preliminary report from the service writer is that they had to replace the full sunroof track. We'll see if it remedies the box of rocks effect over rough pavement.

Might be Monday before I can go pick it up. Wife is out of town & I'm not dealing with 2 car seats & a service shuttle.

Mine goes in on Saturday. A-holes don’t do loaners unless you purchase the loaner coverage. Wtf... I’ve never had an issue getting loaners, even from Honda.

Ha, not sure I'm in love with the '18 in XLT form. Definitely don't like the standard halogen taillights, but prefer the '18 LEDs to the '15-'17.

Yeah, mine doesn't do loaners either, unless it's part of the extended warranty, which I don't have. Luckily, my wife is out of town, so I"m not out a car while it's in the shop.

weird
local large ford dealer has loaner program for all fords
must be a dealer dependent thing vs a manufacture dependent thing

taillights are a safety item especially due to you having children

wife must realize due to the safety of your family, 2018 upgrade is a must

SoCal> Everyone else.

It is dealer dependent. Well, that's what Ford corp told me when I called them about the issue.

The 2018 I hate the engraved F-150 on the tailgate, I like the badges.

^ Agreed, not a fan of the embossed tailgate either. Would want to swap my '16 tailgate over if I upgraded to an '18.
Not sold on the '18 XLT Sport wheels either, much prefer the '15-'17.

Don’t have an opinion of f150 tail gate, since only two models I love, raptor and f450 dually

but the stamped bed Toyota Pro trucks I love

now ricers can’t just put fake stickers

I like the embossed TRDPro & even don't mind it on the Tacoma tailgate. Same with the Super Duty tailgates. just not loving it on the F150 tailgate.
