the only reliablity problem my dad has had in his G35x was the brakes which are being covered by Infiniti anyways with their recall. other than that it has been solid car.

Infiniti G37: Going for Exotic Character
Though the G37 seems more like a 3 Series than ever when you look at its price and equipment, it feels pretty exotic when you settle into the driver seat.
The seat is mounted as low as the beltline is high, and you're gently coaxed into adopting a reclined driving position, as if you were driving a Formula 1 car.

The article basically says, on paper, everything is better on the G37 than the BMW 335i.
1.) lower and wider chassis for better handling
2.) Bigger brakes and bigger wheels
3.) LSD
4) 4 wheel steering (optional)
5.) more hp
6.) cheaper
However....in the real world.....
1.) Sure it can handle well, but steering feel isn't as good, and gearshift quality is not comparable, clutch is too heavy and abrupt
2.) Break feel is vague and due to the heavier curb weight, its braking performance is not as good as 335i
3.) 335i doesn't have LSD and still handles well
4.) Did Nissan engineers forget how to make a proper 4WS system, just like the one found in the GTR? why does it make the car understeer even more and so unpredictable?
5.) Sure the G has like 24 more hp, but it's also lacking 30lb/ft of torque. Combined with the fact that the 335i is 140kg lighter, the 335i is simply faster.
6.) Personal opinion here, are you will to pay the extra price for all of the above plus more cabin space?
Nissan might have one the test before with its pre-production car in March, but....who knows what had been done to that car....and who knows what had been done to the 335i in the test...
