Keys won't open door on 05 Accord
My mom has a base 05 Accord sedan that has no power locks nor keyless entry. One day the key wouldn't open the door. They gave her a 2nd key for the doors and the original would start the car. The new set doesn't start the car. A year later the 2nd set won't open the doors so basically she doesn't lock her car. What's the issue. Can she get an aftermarket alarm to open the doors or does it have to have power locks? Thanks

That's weird. Who gave her another key? The dealer? If so, that kind of seems to be an improper way of handling the situation if one key was originally intended to both unlock and start the car.
Anyway, keys and locks do wear out over time. It's also not uncommon for the lock cylinders themselves to become dirty and gummed up over time. Sometimes the slider and tumblers won't work. I know a few people that claim that a little WD-40 followed by some compressed air usually cleans things out, but this often a temporary fix. The lubricants left behind eventually cause the lock to gum up again.
You might want to try this first however to see if it's the problem. Failing that, it's probably best to contact a locksmith that can rebuild and clean the lock if it's something you can't do yourself. And as mentioned, perhaps the key over time has worn down as well. Is there a possibility there is some sort of code or record of it so another can be cut? You might want to try that as well.
Otherwise, I don't know. Sorry. Perhaps someone else with more experience about locks can chime in.

I would have the dealer rekey a new lock for the door.

WD40 is not a good solution for sticky locks. It works short term but will cause more issues long term. For locks you want to use some sort of graphite lubricant. If you can't find a graphite lubricant you can scribble on a scrap of paper with a pencil until you have some graphite dust build up, then blow it into the keyhole.
The second key they gave you most likely hasn't been programed for the theft immobilizer device in you car which is why it won't start the car. My guess is that you there is an issue within the lock cylinder itself.

That's the problem. The second set doesn't open the doors anymore. Do they still need programming for the key that has no buttons since it's keyless? Should she just order a new key and have it programmed? I'd hate for it to happen again. Why would this happen on both driver's and passenger's locks?
It has handled poorly because she didn't have me go with her and she had some crap aftermarket warranty company that has since expired. This was probably their cheapest option for her. I would've been like go to hell with 2 different keys but you know moms.

I think you have an issue with the pin/tumbler assembly on the lock. It's possible that the key has worn down one of the pins in the lock assembly and is no longer getting the shear line to line up properly allowing the tumbler to turn. I think you need a locksmith at this point.

Update. She passed by my house and the passenger side apparently works. She says sporadically though. Trunk doesn't work either. I can't put the key all the way in. On her original key I can get it in but it won't turn on any lock.

The key does not need to be programmed to open the door. It only needs to be programmed to start the car. It's not a programming issue that is preventing the key from opening the door.
